Aries on the beach (Patreon)

This was both a brilliantly conceived and surreal shoot. I arrived in LA the evening before and cleared immigration around 8.30. I picked up my rental car, found a US SIM card fro my phone, and texted Aries that we were a go. 

Then I found my Airbnb and crashed. The next morning, as I had suspected it might happen, I woke up at 3.30 am. Having anticipated that I just ate a bit of breakfast, I was in my car. 4.30 and headed towards Malibu and picked up Aries on the way to a place called pirates cove I had discovered on Google.

I looked like a secluded place, and it was indeed. 

We walked down to the beach. While Aries was oiling up, we looked out at sea and was noticed a couple of dolphins frolicking in the water. What an incredible first morning in LA.

We shot until 8.30, at which point Aries was on all four near the edge of the water. And then huge wave rolled in onto the beach, tossed Aries around, destroyed her hair (and even got me drenched). So we decided to pack it up. 

We headed back to the car and found a Starbucks for a coffee and a roll (I wonder what they were thinking of having two completely drenched people coming in ordering breakfast. 

After coffee and breakfast, we headed back south toward the city.
