Barbara Bocsi in Budapest (Patreon)

A few years ago, I came in contact with a Hungarian guy, Robert H., who knew about a castle in Tura outside of Budapest one could rent. I saw some images from the place Schlossberger Kastely and bought into the idea. So a bit rash I arranged to rent it for a day, before really adding up the cost of going there, transportation, model cost, hotel and so on,

To make it manageable, I had two colleagues come with me to share models, locations, and expenses. We booked a studio for two days. I think it was called Flashback, in Budapest, and was shooting at the castle on the third day.

The images ón this page are Barabara Bocsi,.  I learned later that if you need any location or models  in Hungary, she is the person to address. 

It turned out that the guy I originally arranged thing with was not what he said. He said we rented the castle but they also had another production crew there for half a day, and it was open to the public at the same day. Totally unprofessional.

The first three images are from the castle, the others from the studio. Except for the poster image (where I had a small umbrella on a Profit B2 flash) everything is shot only with available light.

We managed to bribe, erm, persuade out way into some of the locked-up areas, so we managed anyway. 

PS. The castle has since undegone renovation and I don't think you can rent or use it as a location anymore.
