This little retouch video is showing a little known way I frequently use to make the model stand out from the background if I find it disturbing.

Disclaimer, the contrast in the video is too high (something with using multiple monitors mirrored while recording), but you can see on the attached image where the result ends. It would of course have been better better if the contrast was right, but I'd rather you have the video and don't have the video.

It should be clear what I do even though it might appear too contrasty on the screen

I dont. Anything online is a nightmare and there us just no way of controlling it. Try to open the same online image in Safari (ifnon mac) chrome and firefox. If tou monitor sucks (a al sRgb) everything is fine. If you have a good monitor not so. And try to see the same image on various brands of android phones. There is just no solution as you cant predict how people will view your images.

Thanks, enjoyed the video. I have your Retouch Class, I still need to watch it before your class with Lilith...BTW, I am curious what is the ISO, SS, and Aperature on that shot.

Thanks. In regard to exit data I don't know, but consider this: you want a shutter speed that is fast enough to keep the camera steady, say 1/60sec or faster on most cameras with anti-shakw technology. Then set he aperture to something that works for you image in regard to depth of field (could be anything as it depends on what you desire and which focal length you use. Here I would likely go with around f. 4, 5.6, 8 to have enough sharp, lower if Inwant background to be blurred a bit. Ad then iso is set as low a you can get observing he other two. Hope this makes sense?

It does...the focus on the model's face was so sharp, and I noticed you did it handheld. Congrats on being able to hold the camera so still..
