Ilvy Kokomo is a fantastic model, and here is a nice little set of images with her. I lit all these by shooting a lamp with a deep reflector through a large diffusion panel.

One thing I like to dwell on is taking your time:

Check out this BTS Movie from the set shooting the last image. Notice how many variations and pictures I get. Not with a massive difference, but with minute changes between each frame. This way of working will give me the best possible chance of getting an image that is just right. Regardless of how good I am at what I do, I can't look at both general composition, flow of the eyes around the image, and feet, legs, arms, hands, and facial expression at the same time.

So I keep making variations, so I'm sure I have something close to perfect once I get to the selection process.

I reinforce this in my Art-Nude Lighting tutorial: Shoot, evaluate, improve, repeat until you are sure you have the perfect image.
Never be afraid to take another 5 minutes if you think you need it.

Remember, pixels are free.

PS: If you have watched my lighting guide, and wonder about the definition on the skin on the first image, the secret here is a combination of the direct lamp through the diffuser, and keeping the body shiny by using oil. Shiny and matte objects (including skin) react differently.

Another fantastic set, I think she is one of the most talented, expressive and physically photographic models
