Naomi model and the Cube (Patreon)

I had done two one day workshops with Naomi in a gorgeous studio apartment on the two previous days and went to the apartment to pick her up in the morning. We had an hour left to checkout, so we decided to make a quick set.

I had two sofas I could join up to make a square that was a bit more interesting graphically. The light is all-natural light streaming in from a window, so it's pretty easy to shoot with and all about placing the model's body, so the light falls on it.

Sometimes you can make everyday objects serve as slightly abstract props that make a picture.

One interesting thing to notice is that whether you are shooting towards the light or with sidelight, the character of the light and apparent contrast change.
