Content

This post is one post I could never write on Instagram (and apparently neither here) for obvious reasons:

Do you prefer the explicit or the "censored" version?

EDIT! Uncensored version removed.

Patreon says: "Since our policy regarding pornographic content considers media that emphasizes or focuses on the genitals to be in violation of this policy (this includes spreading one's legs or bending over to reveal the genitals),"

I gravitate toward the implied version; it becomes more playful, whereas the other seems to be more explicit without reason.

Also, I find the pink tongue super interesting, where it loses more of its impact where there is a secondary, erm, point of interest. And for the same reason, this images does not have the same impact in monochrome.

What do you think?

I see it the same way as you, the implied one doesn't "lack" anything but the tongue gets the attention. In the explicit version the (male) observer is distracted by the obvious and does not curiously look around.

The “censored” version is definitely stronger just for the reasons you mentioned.

Artofstorytelling

The censored version is better, for all the reasons stated, but also because unless you are paying attention to the direction of light you don’t notice anything “missing”

Uncensored. So many great details in this photo. By censoring you are taking away one of the model’s beautiful features. So much to admire and appreciate on this model and in this photo. Either way is fabulous.

The censored version is obviously a "fine art" image of the female human body. The uncensored version certainly catches one's attention with its explicitness (presenting the body of a real woman). It depends on the photographer's intention. Both are excellent .... with the explicit one being more sexual (nothing wrong with that!).

B, because A is not an anatomically correct representation of the body in that position. Why would you correct for a body part? Would you remove a ‘belly button’ because it is distracting? Or a leg? What does eliminating the vulva say about society’s view on women’s bodies and intimate parts?

Konstantin Weiss

I prefer implied nudes, but it has to be done with light and posing not in photoshop. However if the pose reveals the vulva and it is the photographer's intention, so be it, I can appreciate that.

B. For the same reason.
