Bella Ballerina from my workshop (Patreon)

During a coffee break at a workshop, someone asked me how I got my ideas for shooting. At the same time, this beautiful light was hitting a wall next to us so I said "Let me show you." 

I asked Bella to undress and had a couple of people help me move some rubbish standing in front of the light.

To me this looks a bit like jail so if we pose wise can do something like breaking free could be interesting I said.

We played around with that for about 30 frames and then the sun went away and we packed it up.  

Then in post-production, I played up the contrast to ensure all focus is on Bella and the grid to underline the idea.

It's all about being perceptive and seeing what's around you when you shoot. Let yourself be inspired by the environment.
