This is from my first shoot with Wiana model; a true gem.

Both the images were lit with a Westcott focusable spotlight with gobo and the possibility to insert patterns, as seen on one of the images.

It’s quite an exciting modifier, but at the outset, it’s a bit hard to use: the default lens is about 120mm, and you can’t use more than a 750 ws flash.

The problem with that is to shoot these, the lamp is about 10m/35’ away from the model, and at that distance, the light is relatively weak: so ISO 200 ƒ4, which isn’t exactly much light.

You can use Canon RF lenses, so my next go will be to test it with a Lomo Petzval 65mm ƒ2, which due to the inverse square law) should yield 1.5-2 F-stops lighter because I can get half the distance between the light source and the model. I bought a used 28-105 ƒ4 lens, but there was so little light coming through that it was pointless. I later discovered the lens was made for a crop sensor…

Thanks Rob, I've relinked it, so it should be ok again. Apologies - there seem to be a lot of Patreon/Vimeo stuff going on...
