The control tower (Patreon)

When shooting VictoriaH this summer, we started in the control tower close to my studio. It’s a magnificent derelict place with great natural light once you understand how to use it.

But just like everything else, I try to make sure the light has direction, which it does here.

If this were a studio shot, I would never put up the backlight that gives the rim light on her arms/back. But since the window is in the frame, you can see where it is coming from; it works for me. I wouldn’t say I like multiple lights if they come from a place that does not make sense.
