Intimate friends (Patreon)

Sweden was one of the places that never shut down during Covid so that you could travel freely.
So in the summer of ’20, I went on a small tour in Sweden with Poppyseed and Lilith Etch. We did keep away from people as well as possible, but it was liberating not to have to sit at home doing nothing.

Anyway, one of the Airbnbs we stayed at had a garden door, so I set up the models just in front of the door and was lying halfway outside myself.

One of the challenges when shooting duos is to create interaction and, ideally, intimacy. And most of the pictures I prefer this is more understated.

Here I love the first image; I find it intimate and sensual. The second, to me, is more sexual (and too obvious), whereas the third is playful and only works because of the slight smile on Lilith’s face.
