Kitemanhellyeah

I must say, Garnt’s video over mushoku tensei came out when I was 16 and it had gotten me into the show, even though it’s controversial. there is something that’s so special about the lore and world building, the art and music, and deep fleshed out cast of characters and interrelationships between them. Including the blatantly obvious care from the team put into it, even though thought the mc is flawed, I believe that is the point, we are watching a fucked up person shift his world view, and become a better person, which I think is a simple and effective inspirational message to leave the audience with. No matter what it’s never too late to improve yourself, it has motivated me to make better decisions, to care for my friends, and other people even more, to put more effort and care into this one shot at life I have, and I hope the message gets spread to others too, Be kind to those around you and learn those skills/ hobbies you’ve always put aside, music, sports, language learning, etc. Keep it up, thanks for taking the time to read this other trash taste fans!! I hope y’all have a good day/night; also greetings from America!!

Kitemanhellyeah

Ones I have to most feelings for are Initial D, Ancient Magus Bride, and Oshi no Ko. My more objective favorites are Code Geass, GitS SAC, and Fate(all three of the Ufotable main routes) Movies would me A Silent Voice, Princess Mononoke, and the original 2 GitS films

Nathan Cooper

I could go with the classics that you already know and love, but I’ll go with a slightly deeper cut of The Pet Girl of Sakurasou. (Sakura-sou no pet wa kanojo(?)) The struggles and challenges of being a creative suffering from imposter syndrome and the seemingly insurmountable obstacle of making your passions economically viable really resonated with me at a very important and uncertain time in my life and even years late it still holds up (as long as you don’t read the rest of the manga…) Honorable mentions: Oregairu Konosuba High School DXD Black Lagoon Watamote Evangelion

John T

Trigun

Tchernobog11

Hajime no Ippo. Nothing has ever made me laugh harder while also being hype as hell

DIGITALSHARK

Either Symphogear, Revue Starlight or A Place Further Than The Universe. I've got a weakspot for shows that regularly use insert songs.

Baby steps: It's because I see myself in it, it hit me in a personal level, it resembles a period when I was doing everything to become a professional athlete. Couldn't relate to an anime more than this one.

SpaceQuarts

Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai or Violet Evergarden. Made me cry like a bitch bro 😭

CHRONICLE KAI

BASED. Sakurasou deserves the amount of love that Rascal Does Not Dream got since it's literally from the same author. The anime adaptation is god-tier and the story is a masterpiece up to a certain point in the light novel. Also Nanami is BEST girl. Sorry, I don't make the rules.

てへぺりんこ！

Kämpfer (my first intro to trans in JP anime) Nyaruko: Crawling with Love (my first intro to Lovecraft) Shirobako (a love letter from the GOAT Mizushima Tsutomu to the anime industry, this is my first exposure to anime industry behind the scenes and made me interested in the industry and drove me did a lot of research) Girls and Panzer (a classic from the GOAT Mizushima Tsutomu) Squid Girl (funny) Aki Sora (beautiful and emotional, intro to culture) Steins;Gate (no more things to say but El Psy Congroo) Clannad (an anime written as “Clannad” but read as “life”. Gotta respect the GOAT Jun Maeda and Key) Planetarian: The Reverie of a Little Planet (beautiful. I’m a space geek and 鍵っ子. This one has a special spot in my heart.)

Danii

Top 5 anime (you'll start to see a pattern regarding the thematic elements lol): Re Zero (there is way too much to dissect from this series, it's literally just the magnum opus of all of anime, and reading the LN has only continued to resonate with me even further, peak fiction) Fruits Basket (the first series ever that I actually cried to (once per season as well lol), also defined my high school years since the final ep aired right before my graduation, so heartwrenching) Weathering With You (I was lucky enough to see this in theaters with my friends, this has hands down one of the most profoundly moving scenes I've ever seen, it took me a week to process it. Also, unlike Garnt, I was actually awake during the movie so I know for a fact the plot is super straightforward lol) Fate Heaven's Feel (already adored this trilogy with the direction it took especially with the characters, and I love it even more with the VN. Shirou x Sakura beautiful and Kirei goated antag) Owarimonogatari (Monogatari to me was what FMA is to Garnt, and I'm so glad I found that right time to binge it, all of Owari is the best entry to this series and was what dented my top 5, I love Ougi)

Here are a few of the notable anime I like (although there are probably more I can't remember right now 😅) In no particular order: - Youjo senki (German empire isekai where you almost forget it's an isekai) - Oshi No Ko (episode one hits dif) - Dr. Stone (Only Season 1 the rest is ass) - No Game No Life (We need another season 😭) - Tonikaku Kawaii (a romance where we for once actually get to see the couple after they get together) - Horimiya (One of the few highschool romances that's actually good) - Takt Op. Destiny (Has some of the best sound tracks out there) - Grimgar: Ashes and Illusions (Finaly a main cast that isn't OP and feels human) - Log horizon (Interesting take on the whole "oh no we're trapped in the game" thing) - Kill la kill (Why they gotta do this to me?)

These are all anime that I either love or were significant to me. Eureka Seven - Absolute Favourite, the vibes are impeccable. Great setting, great characters, amazing soundtrack. Ranma 1/2 - this show is what got me into anime, yes because of the waifus. Haruhi Suzumiya - kyon the legend is my favourite protagonist in any medium. Made in Abyss - to me an interesting setting is the best thing in a show and nothing beats made in Abyss in that regard. Barakamon - If I'm ever tired I always go back to this show. FLCL - more impeccable vibes here. Girls last tour - Man..... Haibane renmei - I needed more, and I'm sad we aren't getting any. Genshiken - nothing has made me more hyped being an anime fan. The world god only knows - the greatest harem.

- Mushoku Tensei (Watched the anime, then read manga and then LN, just love watching an MC actually go through their entire life, plus the first LN I ever read) - Chainsaw Man (Just Mindless Enjoyment, also got me into manga after wanting to know what happened next, Fujimoto is still my favourite Mangaka) - Kaguya-Sama: Love is War (Some of the best comedy in any romcom) - KonoSuba (My favourite comedy series overall) - That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (One of the most consistent isekais in my opinion) - Tonikawa (Just a nice romance) - The Apothecary Diaries (Some of the best characters in any series) - Plastic Memories (First anime to make me cry, was like the 5th series I ever watched) - Horimiya (Same reason as everyone else, just love the grounded romance) - Overlord (Feels like any ordinary isekai at first but for some reason has some of my favourite pay offs, end of season 4 comes to mind) - The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat (Just a personal favourite that I feel is a bit underrated, plus by the same author of redo of healer but you could never tell)

Ōno. I like both girls. Hidaka does express her feelings alot more which makes it easier to cheer for her (and later on cry for). Ono was the first girl and rival to MC, constantly being better then MC. Going from rivals to lovers through games and also the fight VS Hidika is what tips the scales to her IMO

One Piece. Watching it dub is pain, due to being in a hell of spoilers. But I'm in too deep now to change.... Fate/Zero. I am a Nasu stan. Code Geass. The ending hard carries, but i loved all the twist and turns along the way. JoJo. Part four is peak. A Certain Magical Index. It’s just such a cool concept and for the most part well executed. Bakugan. My first isekai, plus its not only an Iseaki, it’s like five. Ixon Saga DT. I'm just amazed that this show exists. Just what happens in the ending with let's say to avoid spoilers, "2" golden orbs moving from one person to another. This probably is the anime that really showed me how weird and.... creative it can get. Bleach. I think this show has permanently affected what I see as cool. Astro Boy (2003). This was my first anime so it has nostalgia bias, but hearing the story of why it was made has given me a deeper appreciation and respect for the medium. Definitely glad it was my number "1" first anime. Also, just out of curiosity. Try guessing my age from this list. The answer is the only two numbers written as numbers, in my comment, in descending order.

Mushoku Tensei is an awesome anime with genius author. You can see the characters grow, the story is very-very interesting, taking you on a very emotional journey, and even the direction job is superb (And integrated openings only added more awesomeness to already godly show). Horimiya is also one of my favourite, as it portrayed what I consider an ideal and awesome love story, with some beautiful shots and effects, very good characters and leaving a relaxing feeling after every episode. And lastly, attack on titan. I cannot express how much i love everything about this anime. The characters, the openings, every bit of story. I nearly cried every time I watched a new episode in season four because of how good this anime became. I mostly judge an anime by how bad and good at the same time I feel after watching It, and every anime that I picked left me in a camatose state for at least two weeks

Barry Chopsticks

- Naruto (Grew up with this anime and will always hold a special place in my heart and also fuck boruto) - Dragon Ball Z (One of the very first animes I watched and it was the gateway anime for me.) - Re: Zero (Best isekai and Suburu's japanese voice actor is just amazing at his role) - Samurai Champloo (I agree with Joey, it's better than bebop) - Code Geass (Best anime ending ever) - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Nothing to add other than it's Jojo) - Death Note (Loved this anime the whole way through and yes even the 2nd half because to me it's focuses more on Lights character than dealing with the 'replacements') - Katekyo Hitman Reborn (It's crazy how no one talks about this anime anymore.) - High school DxD (Because of uh... reasons.) - Prison School (Ngl, one of the funniest anime I've ever seen)

Fragments of Grenth

Didn't want to just give all my 10/10s but instead went for some of my favorites in the 8-10 range. Plenty of others I could throw on here but it's already getting pretty long, so here you go: - Black Clover (10/10) (personal favorite overall) - Maid Sama (10/10) (One of my favorite romances, up there with Fruits Basket and My Dress Up Darling) - Gurren Lagann (10/10) - Dagashi Kashi (8/10) - Blue Lock (9/10) - Cells at Work!! (9/10) - How Heavy are the Dumbbells You Lift? (9/10) - Rent-a-Girlfriend (9/Anger) (#SumiBestGirl) - The Eminence in Shadow (9/10) - Buddy Daddies (9/10) - The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic (9/10) - Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt (9/10) - My One Hit Kill Sister (8/Based) - My Roommate is a Cat (8/10)

NachoX

Current top 10: - Chainsaw Man - Jujutsu Kaisen (season 2) - Bocchi the Rock - Frieren - JoJo (part 5) - Dragon Ball Super: Broly - Zombieland Saga - Re Zero - Konosuba - Dungeon Meshi

Umayr

- Berserk 1997 (made me start reading the manga and manga in general) - Samurai Champloo (it's just better than Cowboy Bepop) - One Piece (Oda is the goat) - Steins;Gate (need to rewatch it but it's one of the few animes I gave a 10 score on MAL) - Pyscho Pass (one of the best dystopia animes I've seen) - Jojo (ORAORAORAORAORAORA) - Attack on Titan (the anime that got me back into watching anime a while back and just a great story) - Evangelion (ending is fucking strange but everything else about it is great) - Fog Hill of the Five Elements (some of the best combat animation I've ever seen and surprisingly well paced for only 3 episodes)

Cheeky Cheeky

- Votoms - Aria - Legend of the Galactic Heroes - Akagi - Turn A Gundam

Code Geass will forever hold a dear place in my heart as the GOAT. Not too crazy about the spinoffs. The alternate ending movie I can kinda get into if I just hard imagine it as 'a what if' story. Clannad + After Story. This is a SLOW burn but After Story actually destroyed me and is one of the few beautiful stories that really touches on 'growing up' especially as a man. I dunno, do movies count? Cus in that case Kara No Kyoukai/Garden of Sinners and Sword of the Stranger definetly as well.

Air Gear (OST is top tier), Tri-Gun OG series (great mix of 90s anime vibe and old and futuristic western), Golden Boy (arguably the funniest anime I've seen, english dub specifically), Fruit/Eden of Grisaia (a great OP MC anime), Space Dandy (Vibes are immaculate), Gurren Lagann (pretty obvious), Welcome to the Ballroom (Never thought I'd enjoy an anime about ballroom dancing as much as I did but here we are)

Juviegar
