WITCHES AND WIZARDS,

Get ready to cast some sigils and signs because WE'RE WATCHING PEAK! We've got a bit of a shorter anime club this month as we had a lot to cover from Connor and Garnt's recent Southeast Asia trip, but this definitely did not disappoint, as we sat down to watch one of, if not the most talked about shows of the season, Witch Hat Atelier.

White hair... blue eyes... and a sorcerer? Close enough, welcome back Gojo.

I kinda wish they had watched the English dub because of all the accents.

To be honest I was so disappointed in Little Witch Atelier. Maybe it's because I saw it right after the better Witch show of the season, Release that Witch. But it was just kinda banal all things considered.

Belos

I literally don't know how anybody can think this

serguzzle

It was a pretty slow-moving intro and I didn't find the character interactions very compelling at all. The visuals were very nice but didn't add substance to the show. It's kind of murky since I haven't even thought about it after watching the first couple of episodes, but it was a little too exaggerated visually whilst lacking in depth Idk. I'd been pretty hyped about it and instead got a really boring story with cardboard cutout characters and too much focus on animation over storytelling

Belos

I mean have you considered that the entire story isn't within the first few episodes? There is genuinely a good deep story there. It just takes a bit for the pieces to fall. I wouldn't describe any of it as cardboard or generic.

serguzzle

I gave it three episodes and they weren't even mediocre, they were boring and somewhat frustrating. Idk, I wasn't charmed as many others were; it has a lot that is objectively good, but I did not enjoy the end-product. That's cool to hear it gets a lot better, but I'm probably not going to revisit it 🤷

Kardinalz

Why are they watching at 1.25 speed lol

Quiet AC

i like these multi pov in one video

This show makes me want to marry a beautiful man and have a bunch of goofy adorable witch daughters together

Piwi

i think they editted it

Coconut Coconut

yeah the 1.25x speed is pretty distracting
