Learn to think in Volume 🌓 [Shading Tutorial PART 1] (Patreon)
Content
First tutorial about shading is here! ⚡
Apologies, but as I was writing the script and listing every important bits of knowledge, I realize that would end up being a 1 HOUR video at least... And I strongly dislike that kind of classes as I feel it only overwhelms the viewer. (Not to mention my computer struggles with that kind of heavy video file) 💦
So I thought it was best to split everything I want to teach you about shading in smaller doses.
🌍 In this first chapter I go over the most basic skill you need to develop to shade things well: VOLUME. You need to understand the volume of any object you see in real life to figure out how to translate that depth into a flat drawing.
I'll show you some exercises I used when I was a beginner to improve my sense of 3D and how to reproduce the 2 different kinds of basic surfaces you need to draw anything.
❤ Remember to enable the subtitles of the video if you need them! They're available in English and Spanish!
PS: After you watch the video, let me know if you'd like me to make some more specific elevation exercises for you to practice those! Otherwise you can do that kind of exercise with ANY objects you have lying around!
