I've been asked many times how my art looks so crisp when I post it on Instagram, TW, etc. And this is the only "secret" to it.

By default, social media scales your art to fit the specific measurements that site can handle. This is why you always want to upload a file that's the closest to those measurements as possible.

But we're obviously not gonna work on tiny canvases where everything looks pixely! So I basically just downscale my art on a new canvas and make any necessary adjustments to prevent resolution loss.

✨ And here's ONE EXTRA TIP for you!

(Make sure to read the guide first, or this step won't make sense xD)

To speed up the process, save the small canvas as a blank template you can re-use. Name it something like "Social Media Template" so you can easily find it when you need it, and just drop and export your files in a few clicks.

You can tell I love using all sorts of shortcuts in my creative process 😂

You'll also find a PDF version of the guide on the attached files of this post, in case it's more convenient for you to follow all the steps.

Hope this helps you!

Thank you so much for this guide. Still have a question, do you upload it from your desktop? or what's the process you use to export in good quality to a device? I am asking since I try to add music to my content and (as far as I know) you can't add music to post on desktop. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks again for such an amazing guide

I do upload from my desktop 99% of the time! I use a website called Metricool which allows me to schedule my posts to different social media at the same time (it's very convenient when you have to spread yourself across several platforms). As for the music issue, on IG now you can add music to a post also AFTER you post it! It's still not as ideal as being able to choose it during the scheduling process, but at least you can add it later when you're on your phone (which is what I do when I want music in my posts as well xD)

Thanks for this. I was searching a way to protect my arts and this is very simple but I think effective as well
