Hello everyone! As I mentioned in previous posts, I want to make some changes to my Patreon in order to make it a bit more interacting and eye-catching, as well as to fix some little problems that I have found.

This is going to be long, but bear with me please, I'll do my best to stick to the key points.

The first change is about payments.
As of right now, anyone can join my campaign, 'steal' the content that I've posted on the feed and delete their pledge without getting charged. That has been the main reason why I've never posted much content on the site and you always received the rewards through a private message after I made sure which payments have gone through.

Luckily Patreon implemented an option a while ago to charge new supporters upfront right on the day they decide to join the campaign, instead of waiting for the month to end.
So, I've decided to change to upfront payments.
This should end the problem about people stealing my content, plus it would also give me the chance to make posts more often since only patrons who have paid will get access to the feed. This would result in you guys getting your rewards sooner than the current method because I'll be able to just post them as I work on my art.

Some people also have trouble understanding the current billing cycle which leads to misunderstandings and me having to give the same explanations time and time again. I don't blame them though, Patreon's default billing cycle is very confusing uwu but this should fix it, as I feel it would work like most online subscriptions to anything nowadays.

The second change I'm looking forward to implementing involves the content of the rewards.
For a while, I've been feeling like I offer way much more content than other creators for the same price and it's starting to bother me because I don't want (and I can't allow myself) to undervalue what I do.

So, I've been re-organizing the different pledges and I've come up with this new distribution;

Tier $2
♥  Access to Patreon feed (which is where content will be posted).
♥ Access to WIPs, sketches
♥ Feature on my deviantART page.

Tier $5
♥ Low resolution finished pieces (also posted on the feed).
♥ Occasional NSFW content.
♥ Early access to videos and tutorials (posted on the feed)
+ Rewards from Tier $2

Tier $10
♥ High-resolution PNGs (delivery through private message as usual).
+ Rewards from Tier $2 and Tier $5

Tier $20
♥ SAI/PSD layered files (Delivery through private message as usual).
+  Rewards from Tier $2, Tier $5 and Tier $10

Tiers $10 and $20 would be delivered the same as usual because I really don't feel secure leaving those type of files here yet, but everything else would be posted on the feed, which as I mentioned earlier, would mean more frequent updates for you all! ♥

The redline/critique pledge is staying, although I may have to adjust it, too, at some point. I have also been considering adding a higher one offering custom illustrations, but I still have to think about it longer and see how could I fit that in my current workflow.

So... what do you guys think? Are you okay with the new rewards and billing method? I'm pretty confident in this, but I'd still like to know if you see any major flaws in it that I haven't thought of.

From what I've gathered from Patreon's Help Desk, you will NOT be charged twice during the change. Actually you won't notice anything because you will still be charged on the 1st of every month after this.
I believe the biggest 'downside' of this new method would be that you will not get refunded the difference in case you decide to switch to a lower pledge after payment has gone through.

If you have any questions about any of this, please don't hesitate to ask me.
You can also check this article and/or browse around the Help Desk yourself for any specific doubts:  https://support.patreon.com/hc/en-us/articles/208404313-I-was-charged-immediately

I'm looking forward to implementing the rewards' changes around April 20th (or sooner if you guys are cool with it) so I can switch the billing option on the first days of May, and you all can enjoy the perks of this new method as soon as possible ~
