New Sex Scene: https://twitter.com/Queens_Brothel/status/1365129791867789313

Play Beta Demo: https://queensbrothel.com/beta/

It has been a very boring week. I renamed an ass load of files, renamed Photoshop layers, and added Typescript classes for each character. There's been 10 dev logs since I've started this new code process, let's sum of what has happened in the past 10 weeks.

10 Week Summary

Created an entirely new image layer structure for all characters

Started creating comic style sex scenes

Automated character asset exporting from Photoshop

Started recreating the game using Typescript

Found a new way to pause Phaser scenes to prevent random game breaking bugs

Rewrote the frontend and backend of the main website

Found 3 new artists to work with us

Implemented a new way to load assets into the game

Replaced the old battle system with new RPG style auto-battling mechanics

Finished the code for the new battle system

Transformed all of the old character assets into the new asset structure

Quests, Dialogue and Mods

The next 3 major parts of the game I'm re-doing are how quests are generated, how dialogue is displayed, and how people can create mods. Honestly, I don't have to change much for dialogue, I thought I did a great job with that. Quests are pretty ugly, I can definitely fix the way quests are generated, and due to all these new changes I'll have to re-do the way the mod tools work.

Conclusion

I feel like I finished all of the boring and hard parts of the game code. I'm finally ready to build the game again. I'm thinking it'd be best if I release the game in pieces, for example I'll release 0.11.0-prerelease #1 which has the first few quests. Prerelease #2 would have Boris. Prerelease #3 would have the morass and so on.

Doing prereleases will help because you guys might run into bugs along the way so I can fix them before we hit the final 0.11.0 version.

Short dev log this week because all I did was rename files and write very boring parts of the code. Things will definitely start speeding up now! See you all soon!
