I get the feeling that that hand belongs to some new character we haven't seen yet. It's not Liz's because it doesn't have her skin tone, and I really doubt it's Gina because the writing is seemingly allergic to her existence right now (and that hand doesn't look fat).

Christina's backstory is something I had wanted to do, but it was decided to move on with the main story first by the discord. Once we do get to tell it, it will all make sense, but for now, you can know that Just One More Bite only works on those who want it.

I feel that padding out Gina would lead to a lack of progress in the story as her gaining arc was before the Just One More Bites comic. My initial plan for her was to be a foil character to Alex and was actually only going to be in the pre serious weight gain Alex part of the comic. Due to popular demand, I gave her a small role in the story, but outside of the flashback, her character arc was finished before the comic, she as a person was already happy, and had no real flaws to overcome. I did give her a flashback to show when she still had growth as a character but some people on discord wanted the flash back to end, so that was the end the biggest content Gina will get.

In other words, Gina is a pure fanservice or background character from here on (if she were to appear again). Everything you said is true, although I'd give her some more credit in her role because she was part of what put Liz on her path, which has been a major focus of both OMB and NEB.
