September Monthly Update (Patreon)

I'm a few days late with the September update, but it's for a good reason, as you'll see...

Songs of the Spellbound Sea: This is why I'm late with the update! Last week was my deadline for getting draft 2 to the layout editor, who's now working on producing that PDF. This will be a much more complete work than draft 1 was - basically twice as much content, including all the spells, revisions to all three classes and to dozens of subs. The collaborations are far along (some done or nearly so, some halfway, one still unstarted).

The Backer's Choice subs are the Spiritharbor Troubadour, the Fortunate Swashbuckler, and the Phoenixheart Bloodline and Trickhunter Discipline for the Bloodrager! The Phoenixheart's in for draft 2.

Patreon: Lots of continued free supporter growth, and a little bit paid. Some of it's book supporters, but not all - exciting! Some of these folks might also be coming in thanks to Patreon's referral feature, where creators can set up persistent referrals to their supporters.

Discord:  The Discord's back to trickle growth after the giant surge of book backers, which is unsurprising. We're now at over double from pre-kickstarter numbers.

Troubadour, Swashbuckler, Bloodrager: Continued heavy playtesting; minor revisions to all three, which are already slated for book draft 2 and I'll work this week on pushing out the public releases. Several book-exclusive subclasses also got done: the Wavesiren troubadour and the Ocean-souled and Phoenixheart Bloodlines for the Bloodrager.

Subclasses: Last month's winner was the Order of Diabolists, a wizard who dabbles in forces best left in the Hells. Slated for the book, I got done the College of Starlight bard, Circle of Scales Druid, Verdant Soul sorcerer, and Order of Exploration wizard.

Species: Empty for September, but should see at least one entry in October.

Spells: Spells That Don't Suck v14  made it over the line! This incorporates all the professional editing for Spellbound Sea. We will in fact have a v15 as well - right now it's slated to have one more spell and a few more edits. Sing Your Own Song backers also produced Shackle of Flame, which is going into the book.

Magic Items: They'll show up in the Bloodrager doc soon, but I made a set of Bloodrager-themed items: the Bloodline Blade, the Axe of the Arcane, the Bladed Bangle, the Helm Dasharra's Guard, Dasharra's Pineapple, and Dasharra's (Lost) Battle Standard.

Monsters: September's poll was a monster pack, which was a tie between Ruined Machines and Psionics. So that produced So Many Monsters, which can serve as a compendium home for my monsters going forward. It's starting off with the Rust Golem, Forgotten Engine, Psi Ghost, and Psychic Champion. And it'll probably start getting a drip-feed of additions going forward.

The plan for October!

Kickstarter: Draft 2 (v0.2) should be out Soon™; it's in the layout designer's hands now. Then I get to keep chugging away on Draft 3!

Classes: Continued intensive test/development cycle.

Subclasses: October's winner is the Path of the Forgewrought Barbarian! And supporters got to vote for a new warlock pact - a tie between Pact of the Aegis and Pact of the Brush, so we'll see which one comes out!
