Anyone who's been paying attention to the content lately can probably discern a bit of a theme — as of today, I've officially put up the prelaunch page for Machines of Bone and Blood. It'll follow a similar setup as Spellbound Sea, with 2 classes, dozens of subclasses, over 100 spells, plus species, feats, magic items and more. It will be themed on the Necroindustrial Revolution - essentially, the Luddite uprisings in Britain, but if all the factory owners also happened to be necromancers. Go check out the page, and please follow! Prelaunch success is a huge part of building up towards a successful launch.

This looks really cool. I loved Spellbound Sea, and I will definitely be backing and picking up a copy (necromancy is a weakness of mine). I really like the subclasses and rites too (the Forgotten X, i.e. Knight, Mage are really neat). I do have a questions I want to pick your brain on, how unbalanced/balanced would it be to allow for minions raised with Forgotten Mage to cast cantrips? That sounds slightly terrifying.

Honestly, given that it comes online at level 17, it'd be strong but not *wild*. If it cast at your level, it'd be doing 30-50% more damage than a melee skeleton would; I wouldn't allow it, but DMs have allowed worse for sure. If it cast at 1st level, it'd be doing significantly less damage, though it might still be disruptive with the rider effects (stuff like a frostbite every round). Now, if your table allowed it to cast a *SCAGtrip* every turn - booming blade or green-flame blade - that would be entirely double your damage output.
