October Monthly Update (Patreon)
Content
October 31st is spooky day! I wish I had something spooky for you, but I don't have anything specific — just, y'know, everything I've worked on in the last year, pretty much. Let's see how the month went!
Machines of Bone and Blood: Progress continues! I mostly aimed to sprint through all the remaining subclasses this month, and almost got there; there's 1 left to do. That works out to 9 subclasses done this month. I also got a little more work done on adventure drafting, and my editors have officially started in on everything finished so far. (I've processed some of those edits, but not all; that's several days' worth of work all on its own).
Patreon: Growth continues! Reasonable growth in free followers, a mild downtick in paid supporters. (If you cancelled, feel free to DM me and let me know if there's a specific reason I can address. But no pressure!)
Discord: The server passed the 1250 mark, which is pretty awesome. I remember back when we had a special celebration for 250. I did experiment with turning on public discoverability for the server, and turned it back off within 36 hours; 100% of signups attributable through that route were spambots.
Troubadour, Swashbuckler, Bloodrager: The 9 subclasses above included two Bloodrager subs, the Eldritch Bloodline and Juggernaut Discipline. Those haven't yet been published here for supporters, but they will.
Necromancer: The 9 subs also included two Necromancer subs, the Fossilforger and the Necrotech. That finishes the Necromancer (for now)!
Abomination: No real changes here, but my mechanics editor is going to town; as of last night I have something like 600 edits to work through.
Subclasses: This month was the Mechanist rogue! A trap-layer and tinkerer, with a bunch of options for a very customizable loadout.
Design Notes: This month's is on the design process for the Death Guard fighter.
Misc: Last month's supporter poll was magic items, and I posted them here! Quite a haul.
Here's what to expect for October!
MB&B: One more subclass to go! I'll knock that out, then crank hard on adventures and other content. I also need to wrap up the last Build-a-Horror, which'll be priority. After that, the two sections I haven't started in on at all are the Seafaring expansion and the Mini-settings.
Polls (24 hours left!): The general subclass poll is close! Currently the Fallen Deva patron is in the lead, but the College of Calligraphy isn't far behind, and a couple more options are within surge distance. The supporter poll this month is a species pack, currently tied between Mothkin and Awakened Animals.
