Game Development Progress (Patreon)

Hello, everyone.
It’s been a while since I last talked about Druid of Hungwood here, so I thought I’d share an update on the game.
It’s been six months since our Kickstarter campaign, which ran from January through February, successfully reached its funding goal.
Y Press Games and I had already been working on the demo before the Kickstarter campaign began, and we made the Level 1 demo available in time for the Kickstarter launch. You can still play it for free on Steam.
Kickstarter backers can currently play through Level 2, and since I’ve already finished all of the artwork for Level 3, Level 3 should also become available to backers soon.
As for the current status of my work:
The game has a total of six levels, and I’ve currently finished the artwork up through Level 3.
For Level 4, I’ve completed two CGs and two sprites so far, and I’m planning to finish two more CGs by the end of this month.
Enemies usually have battle sprites and CGs, and some of them also have non-combat sprites.
There are 7 CGs planned for Level 4, and 9 CGs each for Levels 5 and 6. On top of that, I also need to draw the regular sprites and battle sprites.
Since Levels 4–6 have a much larger amount of content than the previous levels, the release, which was originally planned for early next year, will most likely be pushed back to next summer.
That said, the game will also be released with a lot more CGs, so please look forward to it.
The image above shows all the furry characters who have appeared in Druid of Hungwood so far.
The image above shows the four orcs who will appear in Level 3. The protagonist will be enjoying... something with all four of them at the same time.
Here’s a small part of the process of implementing the level-up effect.
If you’d like to get a general idea of what the game is like, you can try the demo for free anytime.
