Included for August thru November members. if you join December 1st or later, this file is 40% with your member discount: https://www.patreon.com/collection/18214............................................................................Hello! Time again for this month's Early Release for Members.

I get requests for Dinos non-stop... so I have to sprinkle them in when I can. This one took a bit more noodling due to the long posture, extended snout and tall sail. The Spinosaurus was fascinating to research. Lots of unanswered questions and speculation about whether it was a land or water dino., and how it caught it's prey. I thought adding the fish and an opening mouth gave it a ton of character. I hope you enjoy printing this as much as I enjoyed designing it. Due to the way it stands and the extremely articulated spine and sail, It has more possibilities for poses.

I added the eye version and no eye version as usual, with the pop-on head piece. This character prints amazing in gradient PLA. But I have provided a two color 3mf for those that want another option.  Print tips and Info:

*** While removing it from the plate, please be careful not to push or pull it from the spines, they may break off. ***

To put the head on, simply lay the dino on its belly, set the head in place and press down firmly. You will hear it snap on. (I created little notches that help guide the head in place.) Once in place, it's best not to try and remove it.

Go BIG or go home! the bigger the better for this model, but If you are printing small, I suggest going with the straight version or you might get a little lockup in the tail. I don't suggest going under 65%.

As usual. make sure you have good adhesion. I always use a glue stick

STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.

I print with 3 walls, 15% infill/gyroid, .12 or .16 layer height for quality.

Gradient PLA works well with this model: I have a comprehensive list of Filament I use here: Amazon List

1st photo printed STLs 130%: ZIRO Multicolor Woodgrain

2nd photo 100%: Dino in Ziro Fast Change Meadow Mirage, Stand and fish in Ziro Fast Change Tropical

4th Photo stl is hand stained 130%: I used Overture Matte Light Brown, stain with Java Gel and spray with Matte Polyurethane.

Happy Thursday and Happy Printing -Dan

Callys3DPrinting

This is amazing! Printing it at 150% once my printer is free

Lisa Bergeron

I print all your other Dino’s with the no eyeball option. Is there no eyeball option with this one?

Sab

It shows in the links to pick from head with no eyes. So you should be in luck there.

Kevin Young

It could really pull off the punk/rebellious teen look. Studded belts and piercings!

William Hargraves

Well you know what that means off to the electronics store to buy another printer 🤣 your killing me Dan . How are these new ender 3 KE (new in Australia ) what a upgrade from the old ender 3's 🤭 it's no bambu carbon of course but wow the price and the speed of them who needs a bambu carbon another 4 of those and I'll be pumping them out again in no time only behind about 60 releases or so plus all the exclusives . yikes. 3 years ago I use to use 2x standard ender 3's and 2x anycubic Kobra pretty sure this one printer is faster than all 4 of them out together 🫣

Philip Kerns

Perfect timing! My Dino loving kid has a birthday Saturday, printing one out in his favorite 2 color filament right now.

Tabba

printing right now for my son who said "i need that in ironman red please"

Paul G

I love the Ziro fast color change gradients! In fact they messaged me earlier today via Amazon to tell me Rainbow Blaze is back in stock. A few weeks ago it was out of stock and I asked when they'd have it again (since I burned through a roll very quickly). I'm impressed they sent me a message alerting me to its return...ordered of course. 😁

Carolee Hawkins

Just when I thought I was done printing inventory for my local dinosaur museum. This looks amazing!!

James Hunt

Not the ke but I've not had much luck in the ender series had a 3 pro that never was right from Amazon did every upgrade still dontvrun right. Then got a new 3v3 se same issues constantly emailing creality because of one issue or another. But the used but new neptune 3 I bought off elegoo has never had any issues. Only thing I've had to dobwas some adjustments. So after 3 machines now I'm getting awesome prints

William Hargraves

Really that's amazing I ran quite a successful business with ender 3s I've since moved into freeze dried candy 😍 but I still love printing Flexi factory toys I can't lie my favourite is the frog 🐸 I've sold quite a few and green is always a easy colour to get and prints I find

3d Creation Goods

Any plans on an Raptor Skeleton? I've had people asking for them already...

Dan

Possible :)

Melanie St Onge

So excited! On the printer now.. using my brand new bambu filament Ocean to Meadow.. love the fishies! Thank you!

Dan

Wow, that is a lot of printers! Sixty releases behind, goodness... hope you can catch up soon hahaha.

William Hargraves

chep profiles for ender 3v3 will print anything. 3d printing has come a long way in the 2 years ive been away wow, especially with the cheaper model printers my 3v3 with with pla is on 200m/s and this is slow ........yikes

Marti Reusch

Omg I don't even care about the dino for this one I just want to print a ton of those fish in different sizes

Greg Priebe

Cannot wait for the Ankylosaurus, Pterodactyl, and Brontosaurus! (Basically to complete the Land Before Time dinos.)

Melanie St Onge

Aaahahahaha! That's exactly what I did! Love the fishies! 😂🤣😁

Jason

I was thinking the same thing, I was almost more excited about the fish! LOL More Minis please :-)

Yesenia Norris

Can we pretty PLEASE get a Flexi Chicken to go with the Dinos. It can look up to the T-Rex ancestor!🙏

DracoKat

I love these derpy dinos! I need mores

Sir Charles Muldrew

Love these so Much , is it possible to get versions where magnets go in feet and on stand????

Dan

As an active member, I allow craft modifications such as Loops or holes. You can do that directly in the slicer :)

River Seear

You are the best Dan!!!! The quality of your designs is fantastic! They keep getting better and better! A bone raptor would be so cool! Thank you for your dedication to quality!!

River Seear

The fish is so winderful!!! Iv been searching for a good fish. Thank you

jack

this is awesome!!!!!! you should maybe make a really cool halloween themed flexi soon sense the next Holliday is halloween!!!!!

ProtoSpyre LLC

We love ALL your flexi dino's! We would love to see your style done with maybe a future "Parasaurolophus" or a chill vibe "Raptor" !!

Jay R Mack

Using Purple glue stick? I'm loving it. Scaled up the fish to print a couple sheets of treasures

Stephanie Hill

i use the purple glue stick and love it. I feel like it doesnt overly stick making it still easy enough to pop off without breaking anything and washes off easy enough as well when cleaning the plate.

Jay R Mack

Use it on the gold pei textured plate?

Jay R Mack

Love the fish! Scaled him up and printed a build plate full of!

Dan

I use magigoo on the textured plate. But also have to keep that plate very clean. I only have one textured plate left on my A1 Mini for testing. Swapped everything else to cool plate. Just my preference

Dan

This one was tough to male less "mean" faced! The raptor is going to take some serious noodling haha.

Dan

The mummy won for next month, so check :) But I hope to do another Halloween design too

ProtoSpyre LLC

You didn’t say no soooooo 😆 maybe go with a not so “bright” raptor. Have his tongue out the side on the bottom jaw 😉

JCHenri

Please Raptor :-)

Connie Clinton

I am new Patreon I didn't know you can stain filament I have a lot of stain as used to do woodworking. Would you please tell me the process of staining them. Do you have a YouTube video that shows how? Please need more info.

EDJ 3D

Is there a way to download them all at once??? I did not see the flexi factory space moji and was pretty sure it was listed in the offering still on page?

Dan

Yes, if you go to the collections tab at the top of the page, there is a download section. In the August download folder you will see everything and that is available so far for August. Additionally, you will need to go to the bonus download folder and you will be able to get them all at once there.

Dan

Thank you for the question Connie. I have not made a YouTube video. I usually print a larger version around 130% to 150% in light brown pla. I use a gel stain primarily, but you can use other wood stain. I glop it on pretty heavily, especially in the Bony areas around the spine, inside the head in any area that should stay dark. I use a soft cloth to remove the excess. And then I use a soft cloth and acetone or 90% alcohol to bring back the lighter highlighted areas. Once I have a nice division of lights and darks, I use a mat polyurethane spray and that enhances the color.

EDJ 3D

Weird I tried that lol. Only shows them one by one. Could be user error for sure

Dan

Oh. I misunderstood you. The files are too big to combine on the server. Each has to be individual zip

C3DS Printing

Wow great info! Now I am going to have to try that technique. Very Cool! Thanks Dan!

Caroline

What would be awesome is some sort of wooden crate / frame or cage like display to house each dinosaurs in

Brent Mair

Hoping for a sabertooth tiger, sloth, and sabertooth squirrel soon

Jill Martin

This print turned out so great, love the fish by the way!

3DPrintProMasters

Print is GREAT! Hoping for a Skeleton Raptor Soon

PATCHTECH3D

Can you recommend the mat polyurethane spray you use please? Thank you!

Abel Vallejo
