Mini Crocodile is here!

I know some of you less familiar with my minis will ask "isn't this just your classic crocodile scaled down?" Heck NO! If you tried to print the regular crocodile small, the links would be teenie weenie, and super fragile. This one has beefed up hinges and is adorable.

I made 4 versions:- Standard- Keyring- Captured Magnet (Recommended)- Non-captured Magnet

For the Captured magnets use6x2 magnets at 100% scale5x2 magnets at 85% scale.

For those of you that have never tried captured magnets, I made a quick tutorial.(The tutorial is for Bambu Slicer, but should translate to other slicers.)

Captured Magnet Video Tutorial Here: https://youtu.be/kDyoTGOxb5g?si=DBU4nTZLR_tXcG2Y

Print tips and Info:

STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.

I print with, 15% infill/gyroid, .12 or .16 layer height for quality.

As usual, make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works or I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate.

I successfully test printed between 70% and 200% for this design. They were built to be small with beefy joints and ribs.

Gradient PLA works well with this model: I have a comprehensive list of Filament I use here: Amazon List

85% can use a 5x2 magnet and 100% uses a 6x2 magnet. Both are here: https://amzn.to/3D5DT88

1st photo has 100% STL and 3MF: Bambulab White Marble , Amolen Dark Wood gradient (Tree) and Yellow Feldspar , Ziro Peach Sunrise, Beach, Tropical and Meadow Mirage Matte

2nd photo 70%, 100% and 150% STL: TTYT3D Fast Change Rainbow Silk

4th photo STLs 125%, 70%, 50% : Ziro Meadow Mirage, Beach and Peach Sunrise

Dan, now that I have a Bambu Labs printer, I wanted my first print to be this adorable croc. I do not see a painted captured magnet version. Am I missing it somewhere?

Dan

I put all the versions of the croc in the 3mf file. Just open the project file and you will see each of them there, delete the ones you don't need and keep the ones you want:-)

Dan

The Mini version can be upsized as large as you like. The 100% is a small one but it can be sized up to the full size of the plate which I test printed and it's great:-) if you want a slinkier version that is definitely longer and less beefy, I have the 40% off discount code for my older crocodile. It is quite different in design.

Crushem

Hello, I subbed a few weeks ago for the first time. There were a lot of files to catch up on and I remember seeing these and must have missed downloading them. Did I miss my shot?

Zeke

Where can I find the file?

Dan

This was an exclusive from March. So as long as you were a member during that time frame, you will be able to get the file. If you missed it on the server here, I do send a redeem link for MMF. That is where I store the files that are archived. Please check your email for that and if you have any questions you can message me directly

Dan

This file is not included for april. The exclusive was for last month and has been archived until July 2025. New Members can purchase it then for $3.99.

Zeke

Thank you, I’ve been a member just didn’t check the march download.

MilneCreates

Just printed mini alligators at 100% but I printed one at 75%, 65% and 50% and even the 50% is perfect. All joints work and feel pretty strong. .4 nozzle Bambu A1

Michael Jurinek

I can't find this download anywhere. Looked in Downloads and bonus. Can't seem to locate it.

Dan

I'm sorry for any confusion. This is an exclusive for members. It was included for March patrons and then vaults for 3 months. They will be $3.99 for new members in July of 2025.

wendy warner

Ok I must Must have missed it in March I'm not a new member so does that mean I still have to wait till july?

PrintedAF

is this available again today?

Dan

I will have the code up tomorrow morning. The first is a switchover day for membership so there are never any file releases on the 1st.

Where can I find the rings for Mini Skeleton Crocodile

Jeffrey

I am printing these at 200% and was wondering if the 200% needs supports. Because bambu studio is saying that it needs supports and i did print them with supports. It is easy to remove though very tedious.

Dan

I personally always recommend no supports even when they are large. You might consider using the original design since this is the mini version.
