Included for May 2025 only. Moved to the vault June 1sr and available for new members for $3.99 September 2025!...................................................................................................................................Updates: I have added several XL cut versions to print in the Download folder (link above)- 1 Body piece cut- 1 Head piece (same as original)- Short tail cut- Long tail part A and B cut- 3MF file with all cut files included on separate platesI have NOT printed an XL myself, but I did test smaller to make sure all parts connect correctly. The parts need to be glued together, I suggest Super Glue.

I did color the model for anyone brave enough to do a 5 day print 😬 but I suggestone color/gradient to save time and material. Please share your giant Nessie's on social media, email me at flexifactory@gmail.com or add to the discord :).....................................................................................................................................I really enjoyed working on this one. There’s something especially fun about bringing mythical creatures to life.

With so many interpretations of Nessie over the past century, I had the freedom to let my Creative brain run wild, which I absolutely love.

For this one I decided to focus on personality. I thought why not make him as curious about us as we are about him. I think I pulled it off...you tell me. 🤞

By the way, after releasing the sneak peek, a few of you already asked for an XL version—and absolutely, it’s coming your way tomorrow!Happy Printing -Dan*Please consider tagging @flexifactory/ #flexifactory in your social posts so I can see your amazing prints! Print tips and Info:

STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.

I print with, 15% infill/gyroid, .12 or .16 layer height for quality.

As usual, make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works or I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate.

I successfully test printed between 50% and 200% for this one. The XL version should print up to around 340? on a standard plate. Look for an update soon.

Gradient PLA works well with this model: I have a comprehensive list of Filament I use here: Amazon List

Already on layer one!

Carlos Camacho

Already have a test print running now using the single color 2 piece version. I can’t wait til it’s done

Bubba

I need someone to size this up in pieces

pcwzrd13

Love this one! Kind of reminds me a bit of Pete's Dragon (original animated version). On the subject of mythical creatures, I was just thinking a Leprechaun would be really cool. I know we just missed Saint Patty's day but maybe something to think about for the future. :)

Melissa

The cutest!!

Zade

I can’t wait to print Nessie

Rachel

does it need supports?

Rob Redmond

Looks awesome, time to get printing

Dan

None of my designs need supports :)

Dan

Yes, Pete's Dragon hahaha. Classic

Dawn

I really want to print the Nessie, so cool. Where is the download. Help please. I hope its not in Myminifactory, I can't get it to open

Larsco Creations

YES! I’m so excited! Can’t wait to print this one. ❤️

FatPanda

You’ve done both Scotland and Nessie proud, she’ll be happy with this when I show her later .

Dan

As William mentioned, always in the download post which can be found pinned in the feed or linked at the top of this post :)

Dan

Very kind words and happy to hear it!

Jason

For some reason the real photos make her look way more scary,! You know this is getting real close to a hydra model with movable heads...hint hint

Joan Dubois

Just printed it. I LOVE IT

Christine Riess

Printed from work today. Couldn’t wait to get home to see it!!! Looks amazing. Thank you!!!

Dawn

HELP my email from Flexi Factory was deleted. Can you send me the link to open the Loch Ness Monster. I really want to print one. thank you, Dawn Arnould

Jeff McGill

You don't need an email. Just go to the downloads link. The file is on the bottom of the list.

toozie21

I think @flexi DEFINITELY needs to do a Frankenstein 's monster as a Halloween bonus this year!!!

Crafts Unleashed

I was thinking of doing an XL one on my XL as it was to much waste and time on the Bambu

Paradoxal_Dinosaur

OMG I love it! Need a bone one too! With a mouth that opens! And need to make the mouths of the triceratops and stegosaurus open too!

Ponabu

i cant seem to find Nessie

Dan

You need to go to the download post or follow the link in order to get the file. Right at the top

HeadyCustoms3D

Dan your work is unique and amazing, I appreciate the XL files. However, is it just as easy to also release Mini files? Things like the samurai would be so fun to make smaller. Excited to see what you have in store this year!'

Dan

This design was voted on and it does already print very small. So the XL was an addition.

Dan

good idea, I'll put that on the poll when we get closer to halloween.

Carlos feliciano

why cant i download any files like the lochness monster

Dan

Download link is right at the top

Chris Wisneski

On the downloads page toward the top are a few files listed, including the Nessie, and there's an underlined part that I thought was a link to click. But it's not. Scroll down to the bottom of the downloads page, and there's a list of files (under the heading 'attachments') that you can click to download.

Steven Boren

Prints super clean. Another great one. Thanks

Don Schockow

Another amazing piece! You've outdone yourself again!

Charisse Valora Laverdiere

Dumb question but how many rolls does this take? Going to print after I print the skeleton.

Dan

So much depends on the settings. Just open in the slicer and it will tell you how much you need. Scales up and down.

TIMOTHY L DURHAM

Well, I finished the print on Nelly. It’s a scaled over 200%. It was printed on my K1 max my V3 plus and two of my K1 ‘s had it all completed in less than 10 hours. Would love to share the results with it. It’s done in a Creality gold red That looks beautiful.

Dan

Can you please add to the photo section and Discord or email me at flexifactory@gmail.com. You can also add your photo to the social media posts on Facebook, Instagram Etc

Virtual 3D Prints

Have the XL Print on the Go... is there the smaller versions complete as in print in place with no glue?

Dan

Yes, the original is 100% print in place body and no cuts, pop on head. I have them zipped in two seperate files!

Mitchell Priest

Printed flawless on one of our Carbons... Great Job...

Michael

Maybe my filament was wet, but I couldn't get the head on the neck :( it broke the neck off

Dan

I'm sorry to hear that. If you want to join the Discord and do a troubleshooting with a few of your settings and machine information we can try to help

Leroy

done this one alot now and at my last 3 tables its been one of my best items sold lots of them and all mine are full size or 50% with no issues useing a bambu labs x1c in multi color and looks great printing a new batch now.

Abel Vallejo

how small can these scale down to ? looking to do them as mini ones

Dan

I usually suggest no less than 60% for details and printability.

ARI-ON

Hey Dan, might be a silly question but where do I find the other zipped file for nessie that isn't the XL version? I only can find the XL version. Thanks

Dan

The Loch Ness monster removed off server June 1st but you still have access through your archive link if you joined prior to the beginning of this month. It wasn't exclusive for April so all you need to do is redeem the archival link and all of the files are available to you.

Alistair Balharrie

Hi, I missed this one but would love to add it, cant find it on my archival link......Is it possible to get the file
