Hi Folks,

Tiny arms and a Sneaky Grin... this month's Early Release for Members is another popular request, The Skeleton Carnotaurus!!!

I have the eye and no eye pop-on heads, and the XXL/Cut version to be glued together. This one will print HUGE! This is the super glue I use for all my XL dinos: https://amzn.to/4lYylONA Stand and bone is also included, and a 3mf project file for both the regular and XXL for your convenience :)Happy Printing -Dan*Please consider tagging @flexifactory/ #flexifactory in your social posts so I can see your amazing prints! AND make sure to share in the private Flexi Factory discord :) Members can join through the settings/apps tab or direct link in pinned post.

Print tips and Info:

STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.

I print with .12 or .16 layer height for quality.

As usual, make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works or I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate.

I successfully test printed between 50% and 390% XXL for this design. But I recommend 60% or larger for the dinos. If you print the minis, consider using the straight stl or 3mf for printability.

XL version must be GLUED together with Super Glue. I still suggest no supports, though you may have some "roughness" due to bridging on the underside of the rib bones or toes. This is the super glue I use for all my XL dinos: https://amzn.to/4lYylON

Gradient PLA works well with this model: I have a comprehensive list of Filament I use here: Amazon List

1st photo is 110% STL Stained and painted: Overture Matte PLA, Video Tutorial HERE

2nd photo is 50% and 130% STLs: Ziro Rainbow Blaze and Amolen Yellow Feldspar

3rd photo is 100% 3MF: Flashforge Rainbow Candy and Overture Marble

Will we be getting any new dino plaques in the future? I would love to add this one to the collection.

Dan

Possibly!

Dan

Maybe 7 inches.

Aaron Brenkus

Love this, can we get on thats this articulated with skin on it?

Kelsey Hicks

I printed one at 300% and I love it so much!! I don't see the stand included in the zip file though for XXL version. Can I upsize the one in the regular file to 300%?

Dan

I don't include the stand in the Xl file because it often won't fit your plate at that size.

Milton Koropshinsky

just wondering if you might be also doing Snapmaker U1 .3mf files in the future? I know we can import the standard but some artists are now doing files for multiple brands. thanks

Dan

If time allows I may. I typically color in orca and import to my various machines for just one file. Especially since I often provide multiple versions of the files. The file zip tends to be quite large.

jodie

I tried to print the torso at 365 percent but it keeps failing. Its saying something about the G-code

Dan

Gcode is created depending on the settings you have added in the slicer. More info needed please. How is it failing? Losing adhesion is likely? You can open a troubleshoot on discord with photos and settings and happy to work through it with you.

jodie

I'm new to all this so I'm not sure how to do discord

I cannot get the head to print. I've printed lots of XXL prints with no problem, but the head has gone haywire halfway through twice now. Any updates to the model? normally have zero problems with any of your prints. Running Bambu printers
