I love how I can get such quick feedback!

Update: A few of you mentioned that you were getting broken front legs, so I thickened them up a little to minimize this.  hope it helps.

Out of Beta! My final test prints with these files came out great!

Hi there,

So my last test print came out really good, but then I went ahead and made about a dozen cosmetic changes...(head slap)  I really don't think there are any issues but I'm going to leave it in Beta until my test prints are done.

Hope you like it

Happy printing...at your own risk. 😁

Dan, your models just become more and more striking. Your use of the rainbow colored PLA really a shows the detail.

David Martinez

Was impatiently waiting! Beautiful print!

Dan

Wow! thank you.

Brian Powers

It shouldn't need supports right?

Nikki Line

aww man, why are my printers full 😂😂

Bear Swamp Designs

I cannot wait to have a printer free. This one looks awesome.

Pauline S Lenz

EEK!!!!! Can you tell I am excited? Question, what infill density and pattern are you using in Cura please?

ashley (turboash0)

just in time one of my printers is about to be free to print this

Tracey Kryskowiak

Woo hoo....just had some failures, so this is gonna make up for it for sure!

Mekayla a Blanck

I'm stuck at work for another 3 hours before i can start. its going to be such a long 3 hours. Looks great as always!

Paige Cramer

Tanya aka Tech Luv'n Momma

This is amazing 😍 love it. Idk if you have already thought of it but I'd love to see a red panda version one day. Either way, you do such great work 💜

James Jennison

Also printing one now in TTY3D. By the way, this does not help my ADOS....Attention Deficit Oooooooh Squirrel!

bvmbii_420

printing right now in protopasta nebula on the anycubic kobra! cannot wait to see

Sarah

Would he need supports?

Dan

nope, no supports

Dan

I do 15% and grid

Alan Davis

I’ll think make a print of it on Monday. I love the result and I like the squirrel!

Jon Moreno

hi, quick question, what is the ratio of the curved to the straight squirrel?

Chunky Monkey

Just picked up a Super Racer, this seems like the perfect first print!

Cosmic Connection

You made my day :) I appreciate you... printing within 10min

Leika

This is such a stinking cute squirrel!!! Just now getting her on the printer and excited to see her in the morning.

Byron Neal

what is the size difference in the two models. i loaded both in cura and see a definite size difference. thanks. Can't wait to print!

Carol

Printing currently in SIlk PLA thats a orangy red :) I know there was mention of no supports needed, but Cura highlighted her cheeks quite a bit so I did support blocker on the tail and body and left it to put tree supports up to her cheeks at least :) They come off easy enough to not mess with anything, I've just had to many times of droopy areas on some prints.

Ryan Sumner

My squirrel broke at the wrists

Dan

aspect is roughly 6x7 I have her oriented to take best advantage of the build plate.

Dan

wait, but that's not what you are asking, is it. the straight one is 80% scale of the curved. Is that what you are asking?

Dan

the straight is 80% of the curved

Crystal Lake Outdoors

Got 3 printed already. Look up flexi factory tag on Instagram. Rainbow, light brown and dark brown. Printed on Prusa mini, ender3v2 and ender3pro

Dan

Im sorry to hear that, That actually happened to me on one of my earlier test prints so I thickened up the the wrists a little more and it didn't happen again. I always like to print with three walls which helps. also your slicer may be making long jumps to the wrist and losing filament. there is a trick to fix this, but I haven't really tested it enough, it's to set "Retraction Extra Prime Amount" to .064 (might have side effects) I really need to put a help sheet together.

Dan

Wow they came out great, thanks for sharing.

William Carawan

Just finished one. It went fine. Tail doesn't stay in place that well, but I am definitely not complaining about it. Cute little guy/girl.

Meryl Walker

Just finished up 2. I loved it! The feet joint seems a little weak. It's a little thin and it worried me that it may break first. But otherwise it's great!

bvmbii_420

lost the front feets on my first go (i think i was too excited to get her off the build haha) but second print they survived! i love it so much!

Carol

Of course! 1/4 of the way through, my extruder had a part break. I've put in a request to elegoo to replace the piece, I super glued it to restart the print. I am for sure upgrading to all metal GAH!.

GameryDen

I just finished mine the front two feet snapped off coming off the plate 🤣 I'm trying again with more infill perhaps, my daughter loves her new toy!!!!

Dan

updated, thanks for letting me know.

Dan

updated, thanks for letting me know.

Dan

I updated the legs. Made them a bit thicker

Adam Doyle

Same here, I look forward to trying the updated file.

Tracey Kryskowiak

I thought my printer just didnt like the foot! Good to know it wasnt me!

Jocie Braaksma

Just started mine in a gold rainbow. Can't wait to see her! Thanks AGAIN for such awesome models to print!

Jo

Citrus Sunrise it my vote lol

Makerworld king

they were thick enough, mines fine. printed two so far.

Makerworld king

the back legs are weaker than the front.

Byron Neal

Thanks. Any idea how small they can print and keep integrity? BTW...we LOVE your designs!!

Ryan Sumner

It was me. It was my settings. I changed the shell print order in the slicer and it 100% fixed my issue. I love your models.

Natalie Summers

My SO mentioned that this squirrel looks exactly like Sid the Sloth from Ice Age and now I can’t unsee it. Also - I have a weenie dog and the back legs look EXACTLY like squirrels …… just sayin …. You have half a Dachshund designed already …… 😆😏😁😁

Nicolemats

Hi, I'm having issues with both of the front legs both times that I printed both legs are failing. :(

Pat Caton

My squirrel turned out so CUTE!! No broken legs here

Dan

Hey Nicole, can you send me a picture of the broken leg? flexifactory@gmail.com

Dan

are they failing or breaking when you remove them from the bed?

Evil__Lemonade

im very new to printing, maybe a month into learning... my front legs broke :( but im having other issues too

Gavin Parker

Mine failed on the front legs as well :(, didn't use supports, did you on your test prints?

Charley Jones

At 15% infill, the little front ankles could not take upsizing to 150%. I’d suggest 20%

Jimmy Futrelle

Every time I look at the squirrel. I see riki tiki tavi

Amber Stewart

What infill did you use? I printed the updated one and my front leg broke right at the foot the foot stayed to bed but the leg broke wondering if im using not enough infill im at 10%

Arrons3D

Enjoy all your designs, can't wait to get this one on the printer.

Arrons3D

I hope no-one has already asked, what filament are you using, cannot find one that changes colour so quickly?

Chari Malek

Thinking she needs an acorn!! 🤣🤣
