Hope you like it!

A couple patrons suggested I keep it up and make a series of Dinosaurs.I love the idea! 👍 not sure if I'll do 3 in a row, but I've already started a Triceratops.

Here is a link to filament I used.If you buy this filament, keep in mind that it is pretty dark. (I had to brighten up this image a bit) also It's a bit translucent so I recommend printing with 4 walls otherwise you might see the infill.

Thanks again, and Happy Printing!-Dan

where can I find the Bionic T-rex, I had seen it somewhere and now I can't find it.

Wade McIntyre

Also wondering about the bionic version of the T-Rex. Is it available somewhere?

Dan

Any of the past Exclusives are no longer available. Those are voted on by members and only available during the month they are released. I have a post below with the full model list, but it is also available in your welcome email and before you sign-up in the first sentence. Can be used to see the various categories of what is included monthly, what is 40% off and what is unavailable.

Dan

This is an older public release, available with the 40% off discount. The 3mf file is included.

munchers2010

i would love to get this file

Dan

This file is available as an older public release with the 40% off discount found in the collections tab at the top of the page under discounts.

Richard Critz

Looks like only the .STL and not the .3MF are available for this and his triceratops and brachiasaurus friends. Is that correct or is MyMiniFactory messing with me? (I can, of course, create my own 3MF from the STL, but I'm just checking my understanding).

Ruben

This is awesome! Definitely printing a couple tonight!

Kathy Felker

OMG! I just printed your original dragon in that filament and it is gorgeous! Can't wait to print this new guy. I agree... more dinos.

Anthony Reuter

going on a printer shortly. Been waiting all day!

Lee Richardson

My current print finishes on my new flashforge adventurer 4 in 30 minutes.. I might just get this started and leave it to work its magic over night

Sasquatch

Going on the printer now

GameryDen

Doing a pink one right now for my kid

josh jordan

ok gotta ask does it need supports. from what i see so far it looks like it doesnt need them.

Megan

Oh I love dinosaurs! I'm slicing this right now!!

Dan

nope, none of my models need supports.

Eli Weisman

Sliced and printing - 75% - Ender 3 S1. .2mm. 15% infill.

Steverd99

Printing now in Purple and one in green

JD23mil

Ok, Dan, I think Triceratops could hold a cell phone somehow! :o) Tri-functionality. Desk art, fidget toy, hold your phone while you watch a movie. Lol

Nikki Line

dinosaur tails being added to the keyrings….

JD23mil

What in the world are your settings? What size?

Garrett Smith

looks really cool! Starting one in PETG. I was wondering (I'm new here), where can I find the link to the MMF models to download? I saw it mentioned that it would be emailed somewhere, but I didn't get one yet.

Mike Chandonnet

printing now in protopasta mermaids tail metallic teal

Sharon Wylie

Thank you!! I love all your creations but this one will be a HUGE hit with my grandson.

Dan

MMF link for August downloads is sent on the last day of the month. But all the files that you have access to are in the August Download post here on patreon. Older models have a 40% off coupon you can use on MMF. Post also here on patreon.

Dan

Probably gonna have to do some tails :)

Garrett Smith

When I signed up it was the last day of July, I didn't know thats how it worked... I've already been charged twice for july and august

Andrew Corley

Very awesome. Also, it's spooky season... How about a skeleton version of the dinosaur and an astronaut with a skull inside in place of the smiley live astronaut.

Eli Weisman

Successful print at 75% using Stronghero Mirror Chrome Chameleon Rainbow - tiny trex arms are very tiny at that build scale. Will try 150% next in a different color and post.

josh jordan

Tried to print before I left for work and I guess it got a thermal runaway error after a few layers. I'm gonna retry after I get home at 3 am

Garrett Smith

Had a great PETG print! 10% infill and 3 walls with S3D. Same settings with Cura and PLA looking great so far

Bree Tucker

My daughter's favorite print by far :D

josh jordan

So started it up again went to bed everything was fine checked on it a little bit ago it's at 85% go to the bathroom and 2 minutes later printer is turned off and it's ripped off the build plate. Anyone want a 2year old

Jay Edwards

Love this TRex.. bring on more please

the 3D Loft

I'm definitely up for a dinosaur month! These are awesome and i know i have a few people who would absolutely love these for their kids!!

Brandon Hall

Prepping for a craft show on Fri-Sat. They scale down to 75% with a .24 layer height really well.

Paige Cramer

Love this model and am looking forward to more dinosaurs. My 8 year old daughter wants to know if you could make one that its mouth opens. She also called it "Felix" factory LOL

Grant lonergan

i wish i could get cool filaments like that in australia

Joshua Groat

tried twice and both times print turned out great but leg and arm fell off due to not wanting to come off print bed. Im trying a higher infill % now to see if that fixes the joints breaking off print bed fingers crossed

Tina Lawrence

pop it in the freezer for half hour or so. shouls come right off x

Dan

Oh no. Great adhesion :)

Dan

Those are all beautiful!

the 3D Loft

I had a friend ask me I'd there's a way to articulate the mouth. I'm not sure exactly if there room for it but it was a pretty cool idea of it's possible

troy hebert

printed @140%scale 10%infill and 3 walls in rainbow silk pla came out smooth and awesome

Dan

I replied to another similar question...From a design perspective I like the mouth closed. It's just what my art brain likes. But from a technical perspective, it also doesn't really fit into my print-in-place, no supports business model. But soooo many requests for mouths that open...so I am sure I will make one down the road.

the 3D Loft

Oh i totally get that i told her that's is highly unlikely and the fact that there isn't really an area available to possibly make it open. But i already showed like 5 people and I'm assuming I'll sell out Sunday with the 12 i have printed already. FYI 50% is about as small as you can print them on fdm🤣🤣😂

the 3D Loft

I'm trying a 150% now on a v2 about as big as what will fit

Nic Wilson

I am in Australia and I get BBLife Rainbow silk which looks just like that and I get it from Amazon.com.au, I also get Eryone rainbow mini too from Ozzie suppliers

Raymond Plummer

Not going to lie, was also looking forward to the earlier versions of the T-rex, the ones where your wife commented on them... :)

Raymond Plummer

Any chance of doing a full release of the "making of" if you get enough requests please?

J Maxx

I would love a Dinosaur series :)

J Maxx

I am in Australia too, I buy triple coloured silk pla and dual coloured silk pla from Phaser fpv ..love them :)

J Maxx

Hey Nic, thanks for sharing, I can't find the BBLife one on Amazon. Is it still on there :)

Daniel Cruz

i love printing these they are awesome i showed it to someone at work and they said it almost looked like an iguana and i thought that it was pretty close to one that would be a neat print to do

Dan

Like a video of me modeling it?

BenAmberMoss

We constantly have to fight our grandson off of the printer.

Jesus Prado

Love this print. Has anyone has any issues with the connections between the head and the legs or anyone have suggestions on increasing the strength. Right now I'm printing with 2 walls and 20% infill at .2 layer height.

Raymond Plummer

The video would be cool. But seeing your first editions, i do think those also look cool, and even though they do not stand, i would like to be that guy that asks if we could get the "failed"(if i may call them that) models.

Jesus Prado

Thanks! I'll give it a shot

KileyHix

You should do the Trex with a flexi Jaw so his mouth opens!!

Joe Tkaczyk

Great idea ! Dinosaurs are always a win!

Brad (RFD3D)

I printed this last night it seemed to be successful but behind legs were fused to the body and were unable to move. Did I do something wrong?

marco camatarri

this would be awesome with a cowboy riding it ... or a minion!🤠😆🤠

Cody

I didn't use any with mine.

Dan

Never for my models

Sommer Slagle

I printed this and the link that connects the neck and body broke.
