For those of you who want to print a massive shark!

The big one in the picture is 220% (printed on the Bambu) the little ones 50% and 60%

I don't suggest using the curved if you're printing small because the tolerances are a little tighter.

Here is the Filament Link (ZIRO Translucent Winter, TTYT3D silk gold, and SUNLU Silver): https://www.amazon.com/shop/flexifactory/list/A1EM0DT4144J?ref_=cm_sw_r_cp_ud_aipsflist_aipsfflexifactory_H8P2FZYRSCA0D27RHDP4

Nice printed these in florescent they both sold in the 1st hour of our show

Deborah Ortiz

This is awesome! Thanks SO much!

3d Hack

Do I need a 200% Shark? No. Is there one on my printer now? Yes.

Dan

That was my thought too. We now have a second pet, hahaha. It's almost as big as our dog.

3d Hack

😆 🤣 😂 that's awesome

Daniel Clark

I printed huge versions of your dolphin and starfish in the same filament, everyone loves them, I wish that filament wasn’t so expensive

Josh

Dan, I’m genuinely curious haha. Can we see some behind the scenes of your picture taking setup? I got the winter by ziro too and yours looks like it’s glowing and cool af looking. - also I’m printing the shark now in strong hero - greenforge blue

Dan

It is glowing 😉 I have a 2' x 2' desktop photo booth that I can change the background color (amazon). I then use cheap clip lights that you can find at home depot. I have a box of colorful lights that I swap out. For this shot I pulled out a compact florescent Black-light. That's what made it glow. https://a.co/d/4cE1Qy4

Mike Wardlow

Thats killer filament, I already did a 150%, now time to see what I can max out my bambu with!

Dan

Holy cow. Hope you have a fresh roll of pla. That is going to be massive!

Brian Ciampa

Gonna take 924g (I took off a perimeter) !! I have too many fresh rolls of PLA lol. That's why I never turn a profit :-)

Dustie Chase

ive got a chiron but dont want to sit on that much filament until it sells lol

Brian Mettlen

did your 220% require supports for the inside tops of the ribs or did your bambu bridge successfully?

Dan

No supports. It bridged just fine.

The Creation Circus

I just started 420% on my new Creality CR-M4! Should be done in about 40 hours!

Dan

wow, I had to look that printer up, that's insane!

Richard Young

That’s gonna be huge! I have a 250% straight version finishing in a few mins

Richard Young

Lol I feel you. There’s a 250% just about done on my voron. Just learned I can fit 34% with the curved version 😬🤔

Richard Young

340% I try to edit but it keeps changing it back to 34

Jamie Hayes

Quick question. Are the looser heads for very small prints or large ones? My brain is having trouble wrapping around which one would cause an issue...

Dan

There isn't really an issue. The looser head was primarily made for non bambu printers to make the mouth open and close easier. And for smaller prints, it would likely work better. I just wanted to give an option because some printers over extrude and the head fits very tightly.

Jamie Hayes

Thank you for the clarification. I absolutely love the shark!

Casey Kohrs

My head is printing flat on the top. Not like the ones shown. What am I doing wrong?

Dan

The head does print flat on top towards the nose. It's necessary for functionality, as well as something I worked into the design. If it is looking really flat and spread out, you might be getting elephants foot.

Joe Tkaczyk

This came out great I have a huge shark now ...love it

Omega collectibles

Thanks so much for sharing your filament as soon as i saw 220% shark in that transparent winter blue i brought it immediately. Printing my own shark in that color at 220%. The bridge ovwehang on the spine has me worried at this size but i turned on thick bridges to help.

Omega collectibles

Thats my concern as well. I just turned on thick bridges to better help so for all my sharks came out fine 🙂

Brian Mettlen

Hey Dan. What nozzle temp and size are you printing the GiTD? I've now clogged 2 .4 nozzles and a .6 nozzle on my bambu. Do I need it hotter than normal?

Dan

I use .4. For the bambu, I don't change any heat settings. I print at .12 layer height for single color and .16 for multi. I do not change the type of filament in the slicer. Just Bambu Plain PLA. It generally heats to right at 220 while printing, and around 240 when it's purging. No clogs for me yet. But I have had it stop due to the chute being full.

Brian Mettlen

My .4 has clogged twice on the last few mm of the shark fin. Almost the same place. Maybe I should leave the door open.

William Fridley

any plans on doing some dino skeletons ?

Jessica Parrott

Bought the same winter filament and finishing a 150% shark…LOVE!!!

Dan

It's on my list. I have some fun skeleton designs in the future.

Zeke Prints

Just did my first shark. Amazing

Hector Chamorro

question is this file the bigger shark or do I have to make it bigger?

Dan

You have to resize the file to the size you want to print.

Shannon Patterson

what is the gold filament been looking for one that looks real

Tony Sullivan

Would it be possible to make a skeleton snake using this style?

Henry Fried

do you hjave to use supports on this

Dan

No supports needed on any of my models :)

Dan

It would :)

Henry Fried

Thank you this is so help full

Alexandra Myrick

Hey there! I am trying to download the shark is it no longer available to members on here? New to this an i was confused because i was able to download the cat bowl that came out in march like the shark? Just curious no big deal if its not :)

Dan

I offer the last 3 public releases, so this dropped off in June. But still available with the 40% off code on MMF. The Cat bowl is a bonus file, and you get the back catalogue of those. There is a list that is in the June Download post above that should clarify what has been released in each category...also on the sign-up page :)

Magpulx720

Did you ever download the shark file? Its worth it, they are so much fun to play with. Be sure to print one @ 150%

Dan

The shark file is in the main download post for June, 2nd one down.

Dan

It is still available with the 40% off discount on My Mini Factory. Check out the 40% off post and you can use the code for any of my past public releases :)

Rackley 3D Prints

Yes, I saw that. Thanks. New to this world and my boys and I are addicted! Great models! Is there and difference between joining this Patreon vs MyMiniFactoy?

Dan

ok great! Worth mentioning again in case there is confusion by other folks. Identical offerings, just a different platform :)

Kermit77

scusate ma non trovo il link per il download...

Greg Priebe

Do you have a version of this shark without eyes?

Dan

I did not make a no eye version
