Roland 5. (Patreon)

Roland 5 was the 13th ruler of the Kingdom of Normania, succeeding his brother Leon I in 653. He enlarged the kingdom's territory and founded numerous religious and civil establishments.

In 668, he signed a peace agreement with the Grand Principality of Libourne, recognizing its excitence and putting an end to the first Normano-Libourne conflict (629-668), which had lasted 39 years.

In 672, he approached the Salic law that his father John 4 had instituted, again allowing female members of the royal family to claim the Normanian throne.
