CT Studios Story Submission Livestream!! (Patreon)

Hey Supervillains!

Join Jonathan, Alan, and Megan (gasp! she exists! The mythical Producer of Cinema Therapy!) on Thursday, March 14th at 8:30am Pacific as they read through the story submissions we received for Cinema Therapy Studios in 2024. We'll discuss all the posts (some of them very briefly, some of them not-so-briefly) and start to formulate ideas for the pitches we're going to bring to all the Studio Executives (patrons) in about a month.

You'll get a real glimpse into the actual process of how we create such fantastical stories as Moonstruck, the '29' Saga, and CTU:Provo! Plus a lot of other ideas we've had throughout the years that never got made. Whoops.

Should be a good time, and we'll be monitoring the YouTube chat for questions and comments (no promises that we'll be able to get to all of them? Depends how many people show up.)

Jonathan, Alan and Megan are discussing all the story submissions for CT Studios! We'll read through them and briefly discuss, and see what we can come up with that could make a good short film for the studio this year. It'll be... thrilling?

I have a question.🙋‍♀️ During the latest live stream I didn’t see how to comment during the Q and A. Is that only available through YouTube on a browser? I was watching on my TV and that’s very limiting. I also had my patreon up as well. Is there no way through discord or patreon to participate? I’m good either way. I’m just trying to figure out what I should do and where I should be watching. Thank you so much to anyone who can help.

Thanks for sharing the pitches. The ai hearing aid one might have a cool dynamic if one wants to take it out, one doesn't and the frustrations of trying to compromise, then maybe finding out at the end by the one who wanted no aid that their partners one was actually off - it was just the fear of being known.

If you have a discord account already there should be a link on your membership benefits page on the Patreon app/site. When you open discord there is a group called supervillains with a lock on it. It let me in when I clicked it.

I’m glad this is up because I’m late for everything! I’m just going to respond like I’m in chat & talk to myself don’t mind me. I love the ADHD idea and would be super excited to work on that project with yall when you decide to work on it!! My experience with ADHD was super difficult especially through childhood where I was told I was just lazy and not doing enough. I agree with you both it should be something fun like a thriller for the first film!! I kind of want to have fun in the fake blood kerplosions like Alan was talking about 😅😅 Yes yes yes on the character with a disability that has way more going on with them than their disability!! ❤ The depression/monster idea is SO MUCH FUN!!! When it comes to the idea about the character disfiguring or destroying themself for someone else, what if that isn’t one giant sacrifice but instead a long-going destruction of this person because they keep choosing to hurt themselves for others? Just an idea! Ooh can’t wait to see blind moonstruck 😜The scattering ashes story makes me think of Little Miss Sunshine and I’m here for it! 🫶🏻 Jono laughing at the bird fear cracked me up 😂 the cave story is cool, makes me think of how you can draw a circle around an ant and they’ll think they’re trapped forever. And did yall mean you don’t want to make another Music by Sia? lol 🤭🤭 Oooh I love sound design stuff! It’s so much fun! It would be fun to make a rom-com that Princess Brides rom-coms but I also know you don’t just wake up and Princess Bride. 😂😅 Dude Black Mirror Romantic Comedy has my vote 10000000000% just on those words alone. It sounds close to Detroit Become Human! I cannot wait to see The Chickening!! I’m so sad I missed the livestream!! I’ll be there next time so conspire with you villains 🦹‍♀️ Do yall know when you’ll be reaching out to people who applied to help you in Utah? This is all so exciting!!! I might be biased, but I like my ideas of the lame superpower teaming up and the moonstruck but with a blind person. But I also really like the idea of a long-distance body swap. My wife and I lived long distances for two years, with me in Japan and her in the States. I wish I had been part of the chat to see the Chickening discussion.
