Each month, you get a random piece of exclusive bonus content as a thank you for supporting us on Patreon. July's Grab Bag of Mystery perk is serious and silly gameplay! Alan and Jono get up close and personal with each other by playing a game called, "We're Not Really Strangers." Do you want to see us do this again?

"You study Freud and you just stay there" is 100% real! 🤣 I was a pure Mormon girl before I studied psychology and 10 years after graduating while still Mormon (who knows about pure), my mind always goes back to Freud. And I heard the question dirty as well.... 😆

Holly✌️

I love this so much! Can we get more of this? So wholesome and you made me giggle!

Diane

Enjoyed this immensely and would like to see you do this again! I want to get this game to have around!

Wendy Darling

This was hella fun and I hope you do it again! So many lol moments but my fav was the Apple icon distortion. I literally snorted while laughing that hard 😂

Jeff

Now I want to see a sass off between Alan and Obi Wan.

Big Red Cube

“Don’t break the moment, Brad!” 😂

Unapologetic Bibliophile

Jono, I feel you on camping! Alan has the right idea. We are taking 2 kids camping this summer and setting up the van with an air mattress fir my husband. I get to be in the tent with my kids.

Lyndis Cealin

One feeling I miss: Being absolutely excited about every single creative idea I have like I was as a kid and young teenager. I am proud of my ideas, I love following up on them, but the pure joy and excitement you have as a kid is definitely missing. This moment when you call your best friend an be like 'I've got the most amazing idea ever!!!!!'.

CajunDreamz

This was great to listen to while at work. It makes me want to get this for myself to use with family and friends in the future.

Cindy Lowrey

This was awesome!! I love hearing you both laugh with each other. We can tell how much you love each other. I have a friend whom I have known since we were 3 yrs old. 60 yrs later we are still going strong. Cherish these friendships.

As someone CONSTANTLY rotating phone wallpapers, it's a reflection of whatever fandom I'm gripped by at the moment. Or whatever landscape scenery or technological imagery best shows off the graphic capabilities of my phone. (It's often mountains/storms, or images of PCBs on a motherboard) Also, relentlessly hitting on your spouse FTW 🤌

Wendy Alexander

Thank you for this. You both absolutely made my day today.

SaucyJTB

Damn it. Not me at work laughing and tearing up at the same damn time. I freaking love you guys, dark bits and all 🤣❤️.

Nicole Robertson

I'm with Alan - accepting compliments gracefully isn't one of my strong suits, either. I read somewhere that if this doesn't come naturally to you, all you really have to say in response is, "Thank you, I appreciate that." Or some variation thereof. That's my go-to response now. And yes, please play this game again! It also helped me to get to know you guys a little better. ❤️

MrWishart

The chocolate syrup stuff absolutely killed me. These grab bags are worth the patreon money alone 😀

Oscar Cervantes

Yes more stuff like this! Really enjoy the deep dive into Jono and Alan lore

SinforGoblinJesusSlobadwhodiedforthosesins

I love these monthly mystery grab bags. You guys are so unbelievably wholesome. As someone who has gone through alot I definitely relate to Alan. It wasn't until this year that I had someone believe in me unconditionally for the first time. 25 years old and hoping I can have the same retrospective some day.

Laura Kenney

Yes, please do more of these! I had so much fun watching this!

Lynettra

I am 🤣🤣🤣💀🤣🤣🤣💀 Also I am not good at accepting compliments. Generally, I don’t trust them. There are exactly three compliments I do trust and will accept, and it depends heavily on who says them and when they say it. Otherwise, I just respond with a skeptical “Really? That’s nice of you say” and keep it movin.

Caressa Taylor

Oh my goodness i had some deep laughs during this video! Please keep doing these!

Linda Herbert

Loved this I would love to see you do it again

Melissa

That was so sweet ... especially the husband/wife chocolate syrup dream of Alan's. Ha! Sweet ... chocolate syrup ... get it? There's a Dad Joke from a Mom. Please don't ban me. 😁

Erin Bourneuf

😂😂😂 Also, thanks for highlighting this game! I went online and ordered one before the video was even finished because my husband will love it. 🥰

Susan

Definitely would like to see something like this again! Really enjoyed it :)

Drug Princess

I like at the end when Megan says she doesn't mind if the chocolate sauce is left in. To me it shows she knows who she married and loves the quirks. I thought it was cute.

Story-Power

I love you guys! It's great to see men who are vulnerable and loving toward each other as great friends.

Elizabeth McDowell

This was wonderful and I’d love to see it again! 💚

Nova Villmark

This was fun - I've probably said somewhere before but you guys remind me SO MUCH of my BFF and me. I'm the Alan, she's the Jonno - and it reminds me of how lucky I am to have somebody like her in my life.

Scott Rutter

I'm always intrigued to see people play games - there can be a lot of psychology involved in how people approach the problems they need to solve to have success in games with more choices.

BirdkeeperBobby

You two are the biggest doofs in all the best ways 😆 I also couldn't help playing along in my head. Thinking back to memories with my college roommate/ friend group, reflecting on my strengths and the gaps in my strengths... This channel has been a true delight for me for years, and I'm so glad I found it. Keep it up, fellas! (Also, don't think that Tobey Maguire Spidey quote slipped past me unnoticed, Jono 😜)

slothtopus

I just wanted to mention that, before the discussion about Alan not accepting compliments, I was actually noticing how much better he is being about that, since the CT beginnings. Back when, even in the absence of a compliment, Alan would find an opening to diminish himself. (I know how that gets born and that it isn’t even on purpose.) As someone who thinks he’s the shiz, that was always painful to see. Seeing instances of that (over time) become further apart, less severe, and even being replaced by acceptance (sometimes!) has been so so so great to see. I’m only a couple years older, but it makes the mom-heart in me beam for Alan! 😊

slothtopus

Also, Jono, I don’t say much because I feel I’d always the same thing in regard to you: There is always at least one thing from each video that you say or do that I learn from and want to incorporate for myself. Whether it’s hilarity or insight or Grace toward the people around you, there’s something *every* single time. As a tiny example from this vid: not accepting the cards with things you choose not to discuss publicly AND not brushing off the why. 🙌🏻🔥🙌🏻🔥🙌🏻🔥 If you have an accountability kink, I have a boundaries kink 😂 ty for constantly showing us ways (big and small) that we can better show up for ourselves 🤍 — not bc you’re ‘preaching’ but just by being yourself. (Also, thank you for being that guy who thought to bring Alan cereal and burritos. 🩵 Such a loving thing to do!)

Minkey

It was absolutely delightful! Thank you. ☺️ Holding your hands at the end reminded me of RRR. 😉

Lau ra

Loved it!

Almendra Báez Riquelme

A comment to Alan. Your hair looks amazing! It really does and I can tell you've put effort on it after rewatching some old episodes. I saw an old one and then a new one and I really noticed how your hair looks sooooo good now. So there. It shows, and it's amazing. Love and tight-latin-hugs!

Carolyn

Awww! This was awesome! Love you guys!

Austin Daniel

Watching this made me warm and happy inside. :)

Ali Dunn
