Here's a recap of what we did last month!

Jono had a birthday! 🎉I celebrated my 44th birthday with friends and family. My kids and their mom threw me a surprise birthday barbecue, and we all enjoyed time at the public pool together earlier in the day!A big YouTube highlight was sharing our Elio episode filmed at Pixar! We hope you go see the movie (and then watch our video) because it deserves all the praise. We also posted videos about Eleanor and Chidi from The Good Place, Tarzan, How to Train Your Dragon, Bridget Jones's Diary, and Weathering with You. Which one was your favorite?Over on Patreon, we pondered what our good places and bad places would be like. Jono gave us tips on thriving in hard times. And June's director's cuts were extra beefy. You don't want to miss them! By now, the CT shoots are fairly consistent and streamlined. But we pushed the next shoot back because Jono is moving back to Utah (more on that below)! That gives us extra time to prep and do life stuff. We're all excited to have Jono back in Utah! Maybe we'll do more moviegoing meetups. 🍿

CT Studios update from Alan:Writing The Vessel is proceeding apace! We're up to 45 pages (as of this morning's writing) but we're averaging 10-12 pages a day between David and I. Megan will come in after this pass (which I lovingly call the vomit draft) to fix issues, and then we'll all work together to get a presentable first draft that we can start our prep with!

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming next! The Seawrights are going to be traveling to visit family a lot in July. First to San Diego with Megan's family to celebrate her father's retirement (two of Megan's three sisters and their families are also coming. It's going to be a ZOO!) Then, five days after that, they're heading to Hawaii to visit Alan's parents, who are spending a couple years of their "retirement" volunteering at BYU-Hawaii. So they retired from being college professors to volunteer to be... college professors. We're all a bit confused by it.

Big news from Jono!My big news is that, after three years in Missouri, we're moving back to Utah! I'm excited to live where I work: this is going to make everything CT way easier, since this is where Alan lives and the show is produced. The MidWest was good to us, but hopefully it's time to put down roots. With all the personal things going on, CT updates will be light in July. Mostly chugging along with prep for both the next CT shoot and The Vessel. How was your month? What are you looking forward to next month?

Excited for all of you! Hawaii is beautiful, so I don't blame Alan's parents for finding any reason to be out there. June has been fairly low-key since I'm about to have a lot of stuff going on myself. I have a short weekend trip planned in Utah, then my previously mentioned weeklong vacation around FanX! Seems like all the cool kids and fun things are out in Utah haha. Wishing Jono and his family a smooth move! Also, smooth sails for Alan, Megan, and their family while they travel, and lots of good times for the summer for the rest of the Cinema Therapy team, as well. Y'all have earned a small break 😊.

congrats on the move!! Alan's parents remind me of mine haha my mum is technically semi-retired from being a doctor but she's still doctoring most of the week. I feel like some people just love the work they do lolol :)) I finished my second year at uni this month woohoo very excited for the long vac ahead 😁

My June was pretty normal nothing to crazy. I celebrated turning 28 this month. I feel like im getting old but at the same time Im not. I took a glass fusing class with ny sister the week of my birthday, and my parents pitched in on a curio cabinet to display my epic figure collection. Father's day I got my dad Indiana Jones Raiders of The Lost Ark Soundtrack on Vinyl, and My sister got him The Last Crusade on Vinyl. Nerd daughters for the win. I also spent most of the month reading comic books, and just working on my health. I also have been sketching again which has been good. Working on taking some art classes this month or next and I am excited. Also just waiting for MGS Delta to come out next month. I have also been replaying Spiderman on the Ps5 and finding all the fun easter eggs in the game. There are a ton of spiderman, daredevil, Jessica jones, avengers, Luke Cage, and punisher easter eggs. Its worth checking out if your a comic book geek. Looking forward to July and August. Hope everyone had a great June!

I think you were missing the point with Alan's parents: they retired from professoring, to volunteer as college professors IN HAWAII! Huge difference there!!! My June hasn't been great: our 9 year old dog has lymphoma and is deteriorating rapidly. We spent 2 months driving him an hour and a half to get to chemo but it's not working. We are sad. And very broke. My own health has been up and down, too, so no fun. I hope hope hope everyone else it doing MUCH better. Love this community!

Come visit me in San Diego!! (... or maybe just your family and enjoy the weather 😅) Safe travels to all over this busy summer month. I'll be at Comic Con later in July but that's really the only fun thing I've planned. The rest just happens as it happens! 😌 (June was mostly elderly parent stuff... not fun but necessary.)
