Welcome to the first in a (maybe) new series - Cinema Therapy After Dark! In this show, Alan and Jono are forced to do their jobs with no preparation whatsoever, reacting to (subjectively) terrible movies chosen by crew members David and Brad. This week, the guys are subjected to the cruel and unusual punishment of Jingle All the Way.

I just rewatched "The FIfth Element" and I think it's a perfect fit for this new series :D I still love the movie, and I think has some random good things, (not clockwork script, but a funtionalfun script; has quick pays off al the time; some fun on the cuts ans so on) Then the relatonship suck, cause there isn't one but they love each other for some reason. But still, love saved the world and that remained a great scene (cause close ups) Also, OMG the sexism.... but Lello was still cool, Bruce Willis learned about consent and everyone else was a creep :D Iconic music, iconic characters, it was a fun rewatch but not family friendly so waiting my son is 18 or something

I feel like its worth noting those cops aren't dead. They show the police chief covered in black soot like immediately after. Not to take away from the fun serial killer head Canon. As far as sinbad's character knows, that head Canon is still plausible.

Loved this SO much, but I do wish Jono had been able to finish talking about how to de-escalate Sinbad’s character bc even though this movie is a joke, there are a lot of people out there like this , and after running into a few of them, this is a situation I would like to know how to handle safely.

I feel so called out by the polar express thing because it's one of my favorite christmas movies... though, granted, I know I'm biased becuase I focus on the music and that one is Alan Silvestri's masterpieces. My kids love it.... Yes, the animation has aged horribly, it probably wasn’t great when it came out, which I didn't know because I was like 13 or something... lol Anyway, feel free to tear it down, this one was a great laugh and surely bald cartoonish Tom Hanks will be as well....
