I thought Dorothy was a dreamer back in Kansas. Like she dreams of what else is out there and wants to have fun and distracts people from their work but they are fine with it cause the love her even if she isn't doing her chores. When she gets to Oz it's like the closer part of her gets activated cause she finally has a goal in front of her.

I'm pretty sure I'm a Healer (big Mom/Cancer energy), but thinker is most likely my secondary. I'm always, always planning and thinking things through. This was a great episode! Also, HUGE HUGE fan of TMNT (the OG 90's cartoons and movies)!

Fun episode, and I appreciate noting that these are not all-defining categories, that we all have some aspects of them to varying degrees. Like, I'm pretty sure I'm a Thinker/Closer, but I also have a big creative side that taps into my inner Dreamer.

I'm a recovering people pleaser, so I have attempted each of the roles at one time or another. At my most mature, authentic self, I believe I am a Healer/Dreamer with strong Thinker energy from trauma. I just want to make sure everyone around me is okay. Rising tide lifts all boats, etc.

I personally feel the TMNT types are mixed up. Michaelangelo is correctly a dreamer (party animal!), but Raphael is a "broken healer," as my wife puts it. His whole personality is strong emotions. Usually expressed as negative emotions (anger), but he cares deeply for his family and acts out in order to protect and defend them. He doesn't normally implement his healer personality in a healthy way, but he has good intentions behind his actions. Donatello is the thinker, because he's very intelligent and analytical. He's inventing tools and coming up with strategies for the party to implement, sometimes on the fly during a mission. He does his best work when the turtles are caught in a tight spot. Leonardo is the leader, always wrangling the party and keeping them focused and on track. He has to implement the mission plan, properly assess and utilize the strengths of each of his brothers to ensure mission success, and takes personal responsibility for any failures, even if they weren't his direct doing. Without him, the turtles would be a chaotic mess. He keeps them organized and structured as a functional team. He's definitely a closer.

Healer/Dreamer, Closer, Thinker. I can be very practical and action-oriented, but that comes from my Healing desire, and people are often surprised by how much work I get done because I'm joking and playing all the time, but the trick is I like making work fun

I’m a dreamer and closer. I love imagining things and being hopeful about them, but I’m also easy to anger and get frustrated. Seeing you guys talk about tmnt, I would love to see you guys make an episode about them. There dynamics, different approach of the characters in the different versions. Or perhaps to be more specific: TMNT 2007 the dynamic between Leo and Raph in this movie. I really think there are a lot of psychological factors at play there

I think I'm a dreamer-thinker-healer (not upgraded enough to access the linked post, so I can't take the test to be sure). Love these! Only one I'd disagree with would be ATLA's, I think Sokka is absolutely a thinker, he's the strategist and the ideas guy, great with inventions, and pretty much the voice of reason when the others want to do stuff. Aang I agree has traits of all of them, but I would put him more strongly as a dreamer, at least at first; he's full of hope, imagines the way things could be, and is eager to see new people and places. He brings whimsy to the team that they all sorely needed. Katara I think is a healer, because she's so concerned about the group and being there for everyone, she's the one emotionally checking in with them and making sure everyone's okay. (Toph of course is a closer, no question)

I have the original TMNT comics from the mid-late 80s before it became a cute kiddie show. There was some dark stuff there. The first movie kept it real/dark. Then it took off and in my opinion, was ruined.

My first exposure to personality types was actually based on the ancient idea of the humors of the body. Melancholy (black bile) is the thinker, Sanguine (blood) is the dreamer, Phlegmantic (um... duh) is the healer, and Choleric (yellow bile) is the closer. I grew up thinking (especially as a teenager) I was a Melancholy Phlegmatic, but have ended up being much more of a Sanguine Phlegmatic. Interestingly, I've also mapped that as a trajectory that many women with ADHD follow. A BIG point I've seen made about women with ADHD is that the H is at least 90% internal, some by conditioning, but some by nature. So we grow up being thinkers and sometimes that goes to causing anxiety later, because the internalization of thinking out every scenario has a tendency to coalesce into the bad ones coming out on top. My particular trajectory has ended up going into the phlegmatic/dreamer more and ending up, honestly, lazy. I may have the big ideas of the dreamer, but the phlegmatic (easy, go-with-the-flow, lazy) is absolute shit at even expressing them out loud, much less even attempting to put them into practice.

I really love seeing the Turtles kind of reflect the current Zeitgeist with each new iteration. Early aughts TMNT will always be my favorite. But yeah, between each set Mikey is always Dreamer, Raph is always Closer, and Leo and Donny like to switch between Thinker and Healer.
