Reference images - Week 3 (Patreon)

Hi Everyone! 🤗

Week 3 already! I love the outcome of last week's poll! Most of you voted for villages/houses, so we will go with that! I combined it with landscapes because some of you also voted for that subject. I already illustrated and showed some of the images on my Instagram, as you can see below. Because I loved those references, and I know you will too, I wanted to include them this week so you can approach them in your style! I am excited to see your results! 😊

This week's references, I found on Pinterest. Some of them are from Italy, and some of the houses are little English cottages. Personally, I love to draw little houses combined with some greenery. 🥰In these illustrations, I used the following brush pens, and pencils:

Tombow: 133, 126, 991, 451, 912. 553

Ecoline: 374

Both houses had white bricks, so I left that space open. For the rooftops, I used the light purple Tombow brush pen (553) as a sort of shaded color. For the greenery, I used the olive green (126) Tombow brush pen for the darker spaces and the light green (133) for the lighter spaces. I put in more shadows and textures with the earth green yellowish and Juniper green colored pencils. The light pink colored ecoline brush pen (374) I used for the bricks and fence in the illustration on the right. For the shadows in the houses, I used the dark indigo pencil.

As usual, feel free to approach the images like you want to! You can choose whatever color combination you’d like, and which parts of the references you want to draw, there are no rules! That’s the fun of illustration, you can choose what you want to draw and how you want to approach it, the images are just references 😊

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to draw all the references from last week already because I had a very busy week with some unexpected events. I will draw them all this week, so stay tuned for a post with all my Illustrations soon! 😊
