Croatia - Landscapes (September, week 36) (Patreon)

Good morning everyone!! ☀️

As I mentioned in a previous post, from this month on, we will focus on 1 country each month, with different themes every week. This month we will focus on Croatia, and this week's theme will be: Landscapes! 🤗

Reference images

The references we are drawing this week are different parts of nature in Croatia. Seeing all this beautiful nature made me want to go there sometime!!! 😍

Hidden beach: Žuljana, Peljesac

Waterfall: Krka National Park

Lakes: Plitvice lakes

A lot of waterfalls, lakes, etc. this week, so it's a good opportunity to practice drawing water, one of the most difficult things to draw for sure. One of my tips for drawing waterfalls:

Make sure you leave mostly white space where the water specifically falls down or flows rapidly. Waterfalls don't have the colour blue in them, only white space with a bit of rock seeing through.

Final illustrations week 35

Again, I used a lot of mixed media with last week's illustrations: Pencils, brush pens and watercolour. I showed my process in one of my video tutorials of the valley reference: Valley - tutorial 😊

This last image isn't finished, but I thought I would share it with you regardless. This one is just in progress and I think I will finish it this week! I loved to draw the trees in this reference!!
