Morocco - Fruits & Plants 🍊🌵 (October references, week 43) (Patreon)

Good morning!! 🤗

It's the fourth week of drawing Morocco this month! Every week, another theme, and this week's theme will be... Moroccan fruits and plants! 🍊

Last week I was on a holiday to Portugal! I had never been there, and I loved it so much! Such beautiful nature, lots of great food, lovely people, and a calm atmosphere! I did a lot of fun activities and haven't been able to draw much (Sometimes that's okay too 😉). This is also why I haven't been able to draw the Drawtober prompts. I wanted to start lots of moments, but I think I had a bit of an art block to get myself to draw... I hope I will still manage to draw some of the last prompts! Hope you had fun with the prompts regardless! If you want to, you can still show them in the group chat! I am excited to see your approaches!! 🤗

Reference images ✨

This week's references are:

Orange tree

Coconuts on the market

Cactus with figs

Final illustrations week 42

I tried to loosen up a bit again when drawing these references! I focused mainly on the lights and shadow parts to create a sense of depth in the drawing.

These are the base brush pen colours I used for both references:

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 133 (Chartreuse, Light green)

Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)

For the pencils I used:

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

I've got a new dark brown pencil, which I am so happy with! It's the 283 Burnt Siena pencil. It's a little less dark than the Stabilo one, but I think it matches perfectly with my colour palette. 🤗
