Good afternoon everyone!! πŸ€—

It is time for another animal tutorial. Therefore I chose to draw a bear for February's video tutorial. Bears are one of the animals that live in Slovenia. Get a cup of tea and your art supplies and draw along. βœ¨πŸ€—

Some tips regarding this reference

Make sure to create a good base layer before adding pencil strokes, it helps to create the different shades in his fur.

Look closely in which direction his fur goes. Make pencil strokes in the same direction.

Don't be afraid to have a less perfect base layer, it all comes together in the end when you add pencil strokes.

Have fun!!

Materials ✨

For these references, I will used the following Tombow brush pens:

Tombow 991 (Light Ocre)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Tombow 133 (Chartreuse, Light green)

Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)

Tombow 553 (Mist purple)

The Faber-Castell pencils, I used, are:

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Reference picture

I thought this reference was too cute! The bear hugging the tree... If you see this in real life I think it's really frightening, but from a picture, the bear just looks really cute!

I recommend downloading the reference on your phone to get a smaller picture, this way you can't get lost in all the details.

For an overlook of all my favourite materials, I recommend reading this blog post: My go-to materials
