Good afternoon everyone!! πŸ€—

Because we are drawing Madeira this month, why not posting some plant tutorials? Today I created this little illustration of a Strelitzia plant βœ¨πŸ€—

Unfortunately not my whole process has been filmed, because somehow my phone decided to stop filming by himself. But I also didn't want to throw this content away, because I still filmed a lot of the process!

Some tips regarding this reference

Don't be too precise on the leaves, focus on the sizes and the rough silhouette of the leaves when creating the base layer.

Play with pressure when adding the layer of pencils marks.

And always... Have fun!! πŸ€—

Materials ✨

For brush pens, I used these colours:

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Tombow 133 (Chartreuse, Light green)

For coloured pencils, I used:

Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

I recommend downloading the reference on your phone to get a smaller picture, this way you can't get lost in all the details.

For an overlook of all my favourite materials, I recommend reading this blog post: My go-to materials
