Content

Good morning, everyone! 🌸

In this post, I will talk you through some changes I'll make to my Patreon in the next few months. I noticed lately that I wasn't enjoying posting the content as I used to. I discovered that I want to stay more true to myself regarding this Patreon, because I would really like to keep sharing my enthusiasm for illustrating with you. 😊

I discovered that I was more focused on creating a clear and predictable upload schedule than creating content that I enjoy personally. To create content that feels more true to myself, I decided I want to stay closer to myself as a person, and I also want to make the content more AD(H)D proof (As well for myself, as for my fellow AD(H)D people out there). πŸ€—

🌸 A little summary of all the changes

You can read more underneath this summary, but I first wanted to make a little overview for you all to get a quick look at all the things that are going to change:

2 video tutorials a month (Maybe more later on)

A variety of video tutorial series, with subjects like plants, trees, birds, houses, etc.

1 drawing exercise a month

Weekly random reference images (amount based on the references I illustrate)

Reference images and my approach to these references, probably posted on the same day (Depending on the outcome of the poll, which you can vote for here)

Other random content! πŸ™ƒ

The things that will stay the same:

Occasional blog posts

Polls to vote for all kinds of things regarding my Patreon content

🌸 Monthly video tutorials

I did a little poll a few weeks ago about what you would like to change for the monthly video tutorials. Lots of you voted for another video tutorial every month.

What you can expect:

Every month, I will post 2 Video Tutorials. If that works out great for me, maybe I will post even more every month later on (But first let me start with one extra)

The video tutorials will be uploaded in series, in a random order. I was thinking of doing some series with different subjects each, like: Plants, trees, birds, houses, etc.

🌸 Drawing exercises

Because I will post more video tutorials, I will most likely skip one of the drawing exercises for each month. This means that I will only upload one drawing exercise each month.

🌸 Weekly reference images

Right now, we are doing a monthly theme with drawing a country each month. I discovered that this isn't my way of searching for new reference images. It doesn't help me get inspired, so I definitely wanted to change something about this format.

What does make me inspired, is searching for references the moment I feel like drawing. I love to look at my interest for you page for inspiration, and I always find such lovely references to draw from. I don't always now where the pictures are made, but that is fine by me. As long as I feel inspired and having fun with drawing the references I find.

This is why I will change the upload scheme a bit as well. I will let myself be more freely with the things I illustrate, and you can draw with me every week.

These are the changes:

Weekly reference images (based on how many references I illustrated)

The reference images will be random (but still make a good spread mostly!)

I will post the weekly reference images and my approach to the references on the same day (This way, you can see my approaches already and get inspired by that for your own illustrations)

If you have any questions regarding these changes, please let me know!

I wish you all a lovely day! πŸ€—

Celyn 🌸
