Hi everyone! 🤗

What do you think of my little portrait? I am definitely planning to draw more faces again to practice quick sketches of people! I am really happy how this portrait turned out! 🤗

Below, you will find my base layers and final illustrations, together with the materials I used.

Base layers ✨

For this week's references, I used the following Tombow brush pens as a base layer:

Tombow 991 (Light Ocre)

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Ecoline 374 (Pink Beige)

Tombow 553 (Mist purple)

Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the baselayer of the forget-me-nots, but I only used the 553 Mist purple tombow colour for the leaves and the 991 Light ocre for the centre.

I agree, the girl looks really scary when only having the base layer finished, because I wanted to leave some white space for the eyes. But I promise that it will work out great when adding pencil 😉

Final illustrations ✨

For the second layer, I used the following Faber-Castell pencils:

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)

Faber-Castell 217 (Cadmium red)

For the girl I only used the dark indigo pencil for her hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. I figured that the combination of the pale cherry base layer and the dark indigo pencil, works out just right! I also added some cute flowers to set a little vibe there. 🌸

Good luck with these references, and don't hesitate to show your approach in the group chat🤗

I wish you all a lovely day!

Celyn 🌸
