Faroe Islands π©π°β°οΈπ, My illustrations (Week 24) (Patreon)
Content
Good afternoon! π€
I decided to do a little lightning study with only 2 colors of brush pens and 1 coloured pencil last week. It helped me a lot to be more aware of applying the right shading to my illustrations again. Maybe this is something for you to try as well, but you can also just create illustrations with our go to colour palette! π
Below, you will find my base layers and final illustrations, together with the materials I used.
Base layers β¨
I forgot to make pictures of the base layers for these illustrations. So hopefully you can still see where I put which colour in these illustrations. I explain more down below. π
For this week's references, I used the following Tombow brush pens as a base layer for the left page:
Tombow 603 (Periwinkle)
Tombow 553 (Mist purple)
I used the 603 for shading and darker parts and I used the 553 for the lighter parts.
For the left page I used:
Tombow 451 (Sky Blue)
Tombow 126 (Light olive)
Tombow 603 (Periwinkle)
Tombow 553 (Mist purple)
I used the 126 for the grass, the mountain and the grass roofs. The 603 for the little homes. The 451 I only used for the lake.
Final illustrations β¨
For the second layer, I used the dark indigo pencil for the left page and for the right page I used the following Faber-Castell pencils:
Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)
Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)
Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)
Faber-Castell 283 (Burnt Siena)
Here are some close ups of all the illustrations I made
I wish you lots of fun with these references, and don't hesitate to show your illustrations in the group chatπ€
