Hello everyone! 🤗

I hope you're doing well! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to share anything yet this month, but I’ve got something fun to get us started. This week I’ll be posting a video tutorial as well, but for now... let’s begin with a fun drawing exercise!

🌿 Free Drawing

One thing that really helps me when I feel stuck (like I want to draw, but don’t know what, or I’m just not feeling it) is to make space for free drawing. With no pressure and no expectations of what the result is going to be.

For this exercise you can use different materials. I used a Faber-Castell PITT Graphite pencil (9B). But you can also use:

Paint

Brush pens

Ink

Charcoal

Or anything else that allows you to be less perfectionistic.

🎨 The challenge

Open your sketchbook and spend 10 to 15 minutes filling a sketchbook page with whatever comes to mind. You can choose a theme for the page, or just draw what comes to mind! You can also find inspiration for little illustrations on Pinterest if you want to make it easier! But don't create an exact copy, make it your own version!

Different theme ideas:

Sea life

Holiday essentials

Flowers

Fruits

Italy life

If you've got any other ideas, I would love it if you comment them under this post! 🤗

🌸 My version

I chose to fill a page with flowers and a page with seashells! I just did really quick sketches, and tried to not worry what they might look like in the end.

Feel free to share your creations and inspirations with the group. I am already excited to see your results!!

Happy drawing! 🤗

This is a great idea, especially after a long day of work and you can’t really focus to do “great” things 😇

Yess that’s a perfect moment for these kinds of exercises 🤗
