Good afternoon everyone!! 🤗

As we have a flower themed week right now, I thought it would be fun to show you how I draw a Hibiscus flowers. These are one of my favourite flowers, the colors, the smell, I love them!! I decided to give this flower orange tones instead of pink tones, so the illustration is slightly different from the reference.

Andddd I wanted to try out some new materials I got in the art store yesterday! 🥰

Materials ✨

For this illustration, I used the following colours for the base layer:

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 912 (Pale Cherry)

Tombow 991 (Light Ocre)

The Faber-Castell pencils I used:

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

Faber-Castell 165 (Juniper Green)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

Faber-Castell 217 (Middle Cadmium Red)

Faber-Castell 226 (Alizarin Crimson) NEW

Faber-Castell 278 (Chrome Oxide Green) NEW

Reference image ✨

I recommend downloading this reference on your phone to get a smaller picture, this way you can't get lost in all the details.

For an overlook of all my favourite materials, I recommend reading these blog posts: My go-to materials & My favourite watercolour art supplies
