Hi everyone!! ๐Ÿค—

This month's theme is about Whimsical Landscapes! And what would be a whimsical landscape without some beautiful flowers? ๐Ÿฅฐ So I chose to do a flower tutorial this week, where you will learn how to simplify them, where to add details, and how to work with a limited colour palette!

In this tutorial you can draw along with me while I draw this illustration:

You can download the reference image and read about the materials I used down below!

Materials โœจ

For this illustration, I used the following colours for the base layer:

Tombow 126 (Light olive)

Tombow 133 (Chartreuse, Light green)

Tombow 772 (Dusty rose)

Tombow 991 (Light Ocre)

The Faber-Castell pencils I used:

Faber-Castell 157 (Dark Indigo)

Faber-Castell 279 (Chrome Oxide Green)

Faber-Castell 188 (Sanguine)

Faber-Castell 133 (Magenta) NEW

Faber-Castell 226 (Alizarin Crimson)

In this tutorial I switch very fast between the different colours, so look closely which colours I'm using :)

Beautiful!

Hey there! ๐ŸŽฅ Your video was amazing! ๐ŸŒŸ Could you let me know what the orange Tombow is and where itโ€™s used? I must have missed it somehow. Iโ€™ve watched the video a couple of times, but I canโ€™t find where the orange color is used. Itโ€™s not mentioned on the color chart either, but you have it as part of a palette in the video. Thanks a bunch! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Hi Monica! So happy you liked it ๐Ÿ˜Š I watched my own video but I also donโ€™t see where I put the Orange, I think I just had it in between the other Brush pens & accidentally put it into the color pallette oops ๐Ÿ˜…

And I think itโ€™s the pale cherry one! ๐Ÿ˜Š
