Hi everyone! 😊

For this month, I wanted to share a little sketchbook flip-through.

Just a gentle reminder that:

• Not every page in your sketchbook has to be filled with illustrations.• Not every illustration has to be perfect.• You can practice and do exercises in the same sketchbook.• Your style is allowed to change over time.• Not every drawing has to be finished.

I know how hard it can be to start or keep going when you’re a perfectionist. In the past, I’ve left pages empty because I was afraid to ruin them and I've stopped drawing because some drawings didn’t turn out the way I imagined.

But I learned that a sketchbook isn’t meant to be a portfolio. It’s not supposed to be perfect, but a space to learn, to fail, to try again, and to grow.

If you’re struggling with starting (or continuing) your sketchbook, take this as your reminder to keep going. Even the “bad” pages are part of becoming better and developing your style as an illustrator! 🥰

I really loved flipping through your sketchbook with you 🥰 It was such a good reminder that it doesn’t have to be perfect and that not every page needs to be filled ❤️ I love your work.
