Little homes: Starting with simple shapes βπ» (Step-by-step guide - Week 15) (Patreon)
Content
Hi Patrons!! π€
For this week we will be drawing two little homes. We will be starting with the basics: simple shapes βοΈYou will find my tips, base layers and final illustrations, together with the materials I used, down below π€π₯°
When I draw little homes, I never start with details right away. Instead, I begin with very simple shapes to build the foundation of the house.
Breaking things down into simple shapes makes it much easier to:
Keep your drawing balanced
Understand proportions
And avoid feeling overwhelmed
For this week, try starting with:
Rectangles for the base of the house
Triangles for the roof
Simple blocks for extra parts
Little stripes & dots for the windows
A bit of greenery to create depth in your illustrations
Donβt worry about details yet, focus on the overall shape first β¨
