Here's a little overview of the content I will share with you this month. With the content calendar, you'll have an idea when to expect which reward! All content will be based on drawing whimsical nature illustrations 🥰

We will have extra content this month, as I wasn't able to upload the exercise and video tutorial of last week. So that means that we will have an extra art exercise and video tutorial this week! 🤗

It depends on your tier, which reward you will get access to, so here is an overview of every tier! (With of course access to our community chat for all tiers!)

Theme of the month

This month, we will focus on drawing whimsical nature illustrations. When I think of whimsical, I think of lots of colors, flowers, cute little cottage homes, butterflies, pretty meadows, etc. 🥰

I think this month is about loosening up and having fun while creating some dreamy worlds in your sketchbook 🤗

Last month, we focused on drawing lakeside landscapes (with tiny cottages). Unfortunately last week I couldn't upload the exercise and video tutorial that was plannend, but I still shared lots of content. We had 4 weeks of reference images, step-by-step illustration posts, and of course:

✨ How am I doing?

To give you a little insight into my work as an illustrator, I will share an update each month on what I've been up to in the previous month. July was a busy month!

Illustration work updates

Decided to start searching for an accountant

So I am doing my taxes and stuff myself, but I feel like it is getting more difficult now I'm earning more money with my illustration business. Which I'm so grateful for! But this month I started to think that it wouldn't be such a bad idea to get an accountant so I can focus on my illustration job more. I reached out to one in my city and had an introduction meeting with one of the accountant. It was so helpful and now I have to decide if I want to go through with it for real! Such a big step 😱🤩

Online course on hold

Because I had such a busy month personally and I am also working on many client commissions, I had to put the work on my online course on hold unfortunately. But I still have it in mind, and I hope I can work on it this month again! 😊

Started working as a nurse again!

My illustration business is growing so much and I'm so happy with that! But I figured for my peace of mind I still needed to start working at my old job again next to my business. So last month I started working 10 hours a week again, so I can earn a bit more money without too much stress + I can still work for my illustration business 3 days a week. It feels like it is the right choice, but I still need to adjust to it a bit. Which is quite normal I think 😇

July was such a whirlwind 🙈✨

I love to create these photo collages! Especially because we had a month where so many things happened, that I couldn't even remember it all, until I created this collage!

So many new things this month:

The weather was amazing! So many warm days, so we had to get out as much as possible!

Lots of cakes with strawberries

My boyfriend and I celebrated being together for 6 months 🥰

Anddd we are redecorating his place so we can do living together try outs!

I started with ADHD medication 😱 so crazy, it's still something I have to get used to. But it already makes such a difference in my life!

Made homemade pasta pesto which was amazing 🤗

We met Willem the orange eyed cat 😍
