Exercise 🎨 - Create a Whimsical Sketchbook spread (Patreon)

Hi everyone!! 🤗

This month we are drawing whimsical nature illustrations, so I thought it would be fun to create a whimsical spread with different kinds of whimsical elements!

🎨 1. Find references

Search on google or Pinterest for pretty references of whimsical elements, such as:

Colorful birds

Pretty flowers

Cute little houses

Insects (ladybug, butterflies)

Pretty whimsical plants

Etc.

Use them as inspiration for your spread.

🎨 2. Think about a composition

If you'd like to, you can make some sketches before you start drawing with your brush pens & pencils. This makes it easier to get a nice composition of all the elements you want to place on your spread.

🎨 3. Draw your illustrations

Use many colors and draw your illustrations with brush pens & pencils. You can even add some stars or other whimsy elements to fill the gaps between the illustrations ✨🥰
