Welcome to November ✨🍁☕️ Theme of the month: Simplifying Nature (Patreon)

Hi everyone!! 🤗✨

It's November already, here in the Netherlands that means, less hours of sun, more and more Christmas lights everywhere and having some cozy hibernation time before all the festivities start in December. I didn't want to do a very complex theme for this month, so it's easy to still keep that creative flow going.

So the theme of this month will be: Simplifying Nature ✨🌳🌿

We did this theme before in January, and because it was such a popular and fun theme, I thought why not do it again?

✨ In this post, you can read about

• What you can expect in November here on Patreon

• An overview of all the October content I shared

• How am I doing?: Illustration work updates and personal updates

Here you can find all the content I will post this month

✨ What you can expect in November

Here's a little overview of the content I will share with you this month. With the content calendar, you'll have an idea when to expect which reward! All content will be based on simplifying nature illustrations 🥰

From November on, we will have some changes regarding the content I will share per tier. If you became a member in October, nothing will change for you, these changes only apply to everyone who became a member before the 1st of October. 😊

You can read about the changes here: A Patreon Membership Update

Besides the changes, there also won't be any content next week. This is because I'm moving to a new home together with my boyfriend, and we definitely need the week to paint, packing all our stuff, etc.

To still provide as much content as usual, I will probably add an extra reference to one of the other weeks 😊

It depends on your tier, which reward you will get access to, so here is an overview of every tier! (With of course access to our community chat and a monthly update from my studio for all tiers!)

Theme of the month

This month, we will focus on simplifying nature illustrations. We had this theme in January as well and it helps so much to take a step back to the basics. You will learn that you don't have to draw every tiny detail and that you can make beautiful illustrations while mostly looking at the overall shapes, colors and composition. 🥰

Here are some examples from what you can expect:

✨ October overview

Last month, we focused on drawing autumn nature. We had 4 weeks of reference images, step-by-step illustration posts, and of course:

• A Printable worksheet where you can learn to draw an autumn tree

• 2 Draw along video tutorials:

  • Autumn Leaves

  • Autumn Home

  • Orange Mushrooms

• A creative prompt: Cozy October, Creative Autumn Stroll

You can find all October rewards here: Complete October Collection

✨ How am I doing?

To give you a little insight into my work as an illustrator, I will share an update each month on what I've been up to in the previous month.

Illustration work updates

Creating a character for Intratuin!

It's not a secret anymore! I did a big illustration job where I illustrated a new character for a big company here in the Netherlands (But also in Germany and Belgium). 🥰 It's called 'Intratuin' and it's a large Garden Center. They always create a big Christmas set up from October on and they wanted me to illustrate a cute hedgehog named 'Egbert' to use for a scavenger hunt through the stores for kids! They will also use it for a kids box in their restaurant with a puzzle and a crafting paper.

I only have a few pictures of the products they made, but here's a little preview (will share more with you later when I went to a store to see it with my own eyes 🤩)

Personal updates

Here are some photos from September 🤗

Autumn has started

This month was about autumn walks, visiting other cities and enjoying my last weeks in my own apartment ☺️

• We went to an Island that's part of the Netherlands

• Visited the south of the Netherlands for a weekend to cheer for my boyfriend who did a cycling match.

• Enjoyed lots of forest walks

• Found some old baby photo's of little me

• Having lots of cozy nights in to say goodbye to my lovely apartment

This was the little monthly update! Thank you so much if you've managed to read all the way through, and I wish you a wonderful new month full of coziness, creativity and inspiration! 🤗✨
